 Input device
In computing, an input device is a piece of
equipment used to provide data and control
signals to an information processing system, such
as a computer or information appliance.

 Output device

An output device is any piece of computer hardware


that converts information into a human-perceptible
form or, historically, into a physical machine-readable
form for use with other non-computerized equipment.
It can be text, graphics, tactile, audio, or video.

Input device’s Functions

 Mouse
A computer mouse is a handheld hard input
device that controls a cursor in a GUI for pointing,
moving and selecting text,icon,files,folders on
your computer

 Scanner
A scanner is a usually connected to a
computer it’s main function is to scan or take
a picture of the document digitize the
information and present it on the computer
screen.

 Joystick
Joy Stick is an input device, that can be used
for controlling the moment of cursor or a
painter in a computer device .

 Light Pen.
A light pen is a light sensitive computer input
device basically a stylus that is used to select
text,draw pictures and Interect with user
interface elements on a computer screen or
monitor.

 Track Ball
A track Ball is a computer cursor control
device used in many laptop computer
keyboards and older version of computer
mice .it have sensor to detect rotation of ball
about two axes .

 Graphics Tablet
Graphics Tablet also known as a digitizer,
digital graphic tablet,pen tablet drawing
tablet external drawing pad on digital art
board is computer input device this enable
user to hand draw images.

 Keyboard
A key board primary function is to act as an
input device using a keyboard a person can
type a document use keystroke shortcut.

 Microphone
A function of microphone in a computer is to
pic up sounds just like a microphone used by
singer on stage and convert the Audio sound
waves into electrical signals.

 Magnetic Ink card reader.


Magnetic Ink In which usually contains iron
oxide enables a computer to read the MICR
number even if they have been covered by Mark
or writing.

 Function of output device

 Monitor
It can display information in pictorial or
textual form A discrete monitor comprises a
visual display, support electronic power
supply.

 Printer
It can accept Text and graphic output from a
computer and transfer the information to paper.

 Headphones
It is hard ware device that can be plugged
into computer laptop smart phone MP3
player or other device to privately listen to
audio without Disturbing anyone in the
vicinity.

 Computer speakers
It is output hardware that can be connected
to a computer to generate sounds the signal
used to produce the sounds that comes from
computer speakers.

 Projector
It is optical device that project an images
moving images onto a surface comming
projector screen.
 Sound card
A computer components that translate
digital audio signals to analog ones and
analog audio signal to digital ones.

 Video Card
Video Card also called graphic card
integrated circuit that generates the video
signal sent to a computer display.

 GPS
It determines a position navigation getting
from one ltto another tracking monitoring
object or personal moment.
