So, what is the best time of the day to spot high-probability trade setups?
 

The ICT  Kill Zones is where you need to focus when looking for your setups. 

What is ICT Kill Zone?

Understanding the ICT killzones can have a very positive impact on your trading. The ICT
killzones just narrows down to specific sessions.
 

Unlike the normal sessions provided by the free platforms, ICT ones will be majorly based on
specific times of the day.  As much as it is regarded as sessions, it is called killzones because

most of the trading will be stalked at these specific sessions.

 

In ICT, we have 4 main killzones, namely:

The ICT Asian Range Killzone.

The ICT London Open Killzone.
The ICT New York Open Killzone.
The ICT London Close Killzone.

 Greed, fear, impatience and hope will all fight for mental dominance over the
speculator.

The ICT Asian Range Kill Zone 

The ICT Asian Range killzone begins from 7PM New York time to Midnight New York
Time.
The AUD, NZD, JPY pairs are ideal for this time of day.
The Asian open can sometimes offer setups on an OTE pattern that could offer a 15 to 20
pip scalp on the Asia pacific pairs(AUD,NZD and JPY).
The pairs coupled with the USD or crosses are not active during this time of day.
Most of the time it is usually a consolidation.
The importance of the consolidation holds many clues to how the daily range will develop
over the remainder of the 24hr trading day.

The London Open Kill Zone 

The London Open Killzone begins from 2AM to 5AM New York Time.
The EUR and GBP pairs are ideal for this time of day.
The London Open frequently sets an OTE pattern that can offer 25 to 50 pips scalp.
It has the highest probability of creating either the high or low of the day.

The price action during the London Session sees the highest probability of a large
directional move in the 24hr day.
The London session sees the highest volume of order execution than any other trading
session.
The London session typically creates the low of the day when the market is primarily
bullish and the high of the day when bearish.
When the market is poised to trade higher on the daily timeframe, we can focus on the
London session to post the low of the trading day. If the daily is poised to trade lower, we
can focus on the London session to post the high of the trading day.

The New York Open Kill Zone 

The New York Open Killzone begins from 7AM to 10:00AM NY time.
The major pairs are ideal for this time of day.
It is usually the easiest session to trade.
The New York Open frequently set up an OTE pattern that can offer a 20 to 30 pip scalp.
The price action during the New York session sees a consistent round of economic news
releases.
The New York session typically has 2 potential scenarios- continuation of London's move
or a complete reversal in the daily direction.
When the daily timeframe is in a clear one-sided momentum, it is easiest to look for
confirmation of that direction in the London price action. If London agrees with the daily

bias, we can anticipate the New York open to post a continuation setup. Reversal requires
more insights.

The ICT London Close 

The London close killzone begins from 10:00AM to noon NY time.

The major pairs are ideal during this time of day.
The London close killzone frequently setup an OTE pattern that can offer a 10 to 20 pip
scalp.
The price action seen at the London close typically sees a retracement off the high of the
day on bullish days and off the low of the day on bearish days.
There is typically a 5 minute OTE setup in these conditions. They  are very short-term
moves.
The London close can create continuation points for swings that trade well into the New
York afternoon hours.
The London close can also be a reversal point for price and what had been the direction of
the day or week can change during the London close.
