ABOUT GSV
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a Central University and a
pioneer in the domain of transportation education in India
embodies the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi. Founded in 2022 by the Act of Parliament,
GSV’s inception goes back to National Rail and Transportation
Institute (NRTI), which was established in 2018 as a deemed to
be university by UGC under the De Novo category.
Being a university of first-of-its-kind focused on transport-
related education, multidisciplinary research and training, GSV
is specifically established to create a resource pool of best-in-
class professionals for the entire transportation sector across
technology, economics and management through a variety of
programs including regular education, executive and
continuing education as well as skilling. As a futuristic initiative
of Government of India, GSV believes in shaping graduates and
postgraduates who are uniquely qualified to pursue and excel
in careers in transportation-related industries and crucially
cater to the shifting needs and rising demands of the global
economic order.
GSV offers multi-disciplinary programmes based on demand-
driven curriculum which is woven around industry priorities in
order to meet the industry needs of the transportation sector.

a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogical
approach that incorporates the latest technologies such as live
classrooms, online programmes and sessions engaged by high

B.TECH UNDER-GRADUATE
PROGRAMMES
B.Tech.(Rail Infrastructure Engineering)
This programme focusses on building a foundation of core
fundamental engineering courses, before developing basic
understanding of railway technologies across all key areas with
courses in fluid, solid, thermal, mechanical and electronic
systems. In the final year, specialised courses taught in the field
of civil engineering at Indian Railways’ Centralised Training
Institutes are offered to students.
B.Tech.(Rail Systems and Communication Engineering)
This programme trains the students in core fundamental
engineering courses during the first two years. Third year is
devoted to for developing a basic understanding of railway
technologies across all key areas with courses in fluid, solid,
thermal, mechanical and electronic systems. In the final year,
specialised courses taught in the field of transport management
and signal engineering & telecommunications at Indian
Railways’ Centralised Training Institutes are offered to students.

A broad spectrum of job profiles offered by recruiters means that
internship offers are spread across a variety of disciplines. The
starting months of the internship season were dominated by
companies from IT & Programming, Consultancy, Electronic
System, Signalling & Communication system, Supply Chain
Management, Tunnel, Bridge and Viaduct Construction, Railway &
Metro projects and Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.
