Introduction

EnCashea app based in Bengaluru, the capital and the largest city of Indian state of Karnataka , En

Cachea is a mobile and web application that turns scrap waste to cash in select areas of the city , EnCashea

focuses on connecting individuals ,businesses , vendors and recyclers to promote safety disposal and

recycling of waste. It offers individuals and businesses with money for their recyclable properties. (Sriram

Sharma, December 22, 2015)

TrashPanda is a collection service app through which you can have your recyclables materials

like ,old newspapers, magazines, empty plastic bottles and more ,to be picked up and brought to the proper

facilities presently covers select areas in Metro Manila and Rizal. TrashPanda is Philippines based platform

available on Google play and was launched on March 2,2020 however the developer of this app still

working upon reaching non-Andriod users. (Mia Rodriguez , March 18, 2021)

Ipil town in Zamboanga Sibugay is struggling with tons of garbage a month after the environment

department shut down its dumpsite after the local government failed to comply with the ecological solid

waste management law. Zamboanga Sibugay plans waste-to-energy facility to solve trash woes, however the

propose project is still pending , and so the LGU of Ipil finds another location for a dumping site that is

accessible for the recyclers and away from the residents to avoid health issues, the dumping site is now

located at Barangay Lumbia, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay (Antonio Manaytay December 20, 2021)

Waste management is one of the essentials in our daily life, it must be mandatory for us people to

have knowledge.The improper disposal of waste can cause larger damage to the community, The 3R Mobile

application will help to lessen the amount of waste that goes to the general waste stream, It will encourage

people to recycle or properly dispose their waste products and sell it instead of throwing it. The propose

project will help the recycling center owners and gargbage collectors to have a accessible and accurate

transaction.

Poor waste management is often here in the country specially those remote communities; improper

waste management causes negative impacts in the environment such as flash floods cause by waste that

blocked the canals, polluted water and other major issues.

The lack of knowledge of the individuals leads to poor waste management, the issue is some people

don’t know that they can earn through waste materials , some waste materials is profitable and people

engaging to recycling would lessen the issue that is rooted by poor waste management.

To address the problems mentioned above, researchers proposed Waste Management to encourage

waste producers or the communities to engage in recycling activities and make profit with their waste by

selling their waste materials into the junkshops. The propose project would be the tool for people engaging

into recycling , The 3R Mobile application has the list of prizes of every specific waste products that is

profitable for recycling, The propose project would be a guide of what type of waste materials to be

recycled.

Statement of the Problem

 The junkshop owners having problem contacting and locating for possible garbage collectors.

 Garbage collectors having issues upon locating junkshop facilities and contacting junkshop owners.

 Garbage collectors or possible garbage collectors do not have the knowledge of what type of garbage

materials to be recycled and profitable.

Objectives of Study

General Objective

The researcher’s aims to design and develop a system that will help the community to reuse reduce

and recycle wastes with the use of 3R mobile application.

 Design a module that can help the junkshop owners upon locating garbage collectors and meet the

accuracy of transaction.

 Design a module that will help garbage collectors upon locating junkshop facilities and contacting

junkshop owners.

 Design a module that will guide and encourage people to engage in recycling and that they can earn

through waste materials.

 Design a module that will guide the individuals of what specific garbage type or waste materials that

is recyclable and profitable.

Significance of the Study

Local Government. The system will help the local government unit, where it can monitor the public

to recycle materials to prevent the risks and hazards caused by waste, and provide a systemic process of

collecting garbage.

Community. The system will help them conveniently dispose of their waste materials by searching

nearby junk shops and recycling centers. The system will also encourage them to manage their garbage to

receive rewards properly.

Researchers. This study will help them further enhance their knowledge and skills in developing

successful research.

Scope

 The system could be versatile; it can be access through website and mobile.

 The system will have online payment system instead of manual.

 This 3R mobile app will have a chat system where all the users will have exclusive communication.

 The system will have audio and video call platform exclusive for junkshop owners garbage collectors

Limitation

 The application limit customer’s to add items in garbage type page.

 The application is inaccessible or unavailable in website platforms.

 The system doesn’t have a chat platform.

 The system has no online payment system.
