1. A socially out casted college student claims her own unexpectedly by everyone in the school.
Before her death, she was friended on facebook by a popular girl in her class. She tried talking to
this girl so they can be friends but the popular girl just pushed her away. So she takes her own
life and a mysterious video of her suicide appears in the popular girl’s facebook account. The
popular girl starts to lose facebook friends by the dozen and it continues even in school where
people no longer talk to her. As she loses her facebook friends, her best friends start to
mysteriously die and she now has to find out why.
2. Laura Woodson- The popular girl in class who mostly accepts friend request by anyone. She is
the main protagonist who has to find out what is happening to her friends and stop the danger if
she can.
Marina Nedifar- the socially outcasted girl that nobody wanted to be around. She suffered a
horrific childhood at an orphanage which molded her into the person she is now.
Kobe- One of Laura’s friends who is being haunted by a ghost

3. Laura is sent a friend request on Facebook by a classmate who was rejected by everyone in their
class. She checks the account with the name Ma Rina and what she first found was that Marina is a
talented artist, so she accepts the friend request and when Marina sees this, she starts to stalk Laura
online. Laura has birthday dinner and she posts pictures of it online and Marina gets angry because
she wasn’t invited to the dinner. Marina confronts Laura about it but it ends up being physical and
Laura accidentally pulls off Marina’s hood and reveal a bold spot so Marina leaves angry and
ashamed. Laura unfriends Marina on Facebook and Marina decides to commit suicide, all while
recording it on her laptop. After 2 weeks, a mysterious video of Marina’s suicide is posted on Laura’s
facebook and she tried to delete the video but she is unable to. It is too late though as she already
begins to lose friends so she tries to delete her account but she can’t delete it either. Laura and Kobe
investigate Marina’s facebook page and found out that the code of it has been tampered and that it
is not normal code. Later that night, Gustavo, one of Laura’s friends, is killed by a swarm of wasps
and extensive head trauma. The weeks after Gustavo’s death, Laura’s friends are killed one by one in
such gruesome ways. Laura is fed up with everyone dying around her so she researchs about who
Marina was. She finds the burn down house where Marina committed suicide but while trying to
find Marina’s body she is separated from Kobe. She continues though but she finds Kobe looking at a
black mirror and Kobe tries to kill Laura. Laura was able to escape from Kobe and then she realized
that Marina committed suicide in a nearby factory not in her basement. She is able to make it to the
nearby factory but her search is interrupted by a call from her mom saying that she is seeing Marina
as well. As they were talking, Laura’s mother grabbed a kitchen knife and started to walk towards
another room and kills herself. Laura starts grieving but Tyler finds her and comforts her but he is
then stabbed in the throat and dies instantly. Laura is now being chased by Kobe further into the
factory but Laura reaches a dead end. Before Kobe has the chance to kill her, he is attacked by wasps
and then completely devoured by them, leaving no body behind. Laura then sees a seven-year-old
Marina and this Marina brings Laura to the body of Marina and is not seen again. Some time has
 passed and we see Laura, looking like Marina at the start of the movie, looking at a group of girls the
same way Marina was looking at Laura at the start. End Credits

Individual Answers:

1. The scene I most liked was when the paintings of Marina were animated and told a story without
any form of dialogue. This is very creative and very inspirational way of storytelling. The scene I
disliked the most was when the movie reveals that black magic is involved of the happenings
because it changes the message of the movie, from showing the dangers of social media to the
dangers of black magic in the world. What is the relation of social media to black magic?
2. I like the character of Marina because we are able to see a what a mentally unstable person try
to make friends. I don’t like Detective Cameron because his character is not believable because
he doesn’t believe Laura when she says that she can’t take the videos down or delete her
account but nowadays, which this movie tried to depict, we call it hacking.
3. The lesson I learned is to first know the person in real life before I can accept any friend request
from them in any form of social media because it may be my own undoing in the future which
may bring harm to any of my loved ones.
4. A funeral is held for everyone, we then see a hooded figure approach the closed coffin and a
close up reveals Marina who is looking like she is supposed to, without any of the traumatic
events in her life.
