Scope Statement

Instructions
This is a template that you can use for all of your Project Artifacts in Project Management Capstone. You
will see that this template will be one that is specific to the Scope Statement, however it will give you an
idea of the types of questions you should be reflecting on when you develop Business Report.

Please ensure that you develop a Professional looking document that is well thought through, as the
professor will be looking closely at whether you understand the concepts and how to apply them to the
Project your are working on.

There is no word count for any reports, as it is the quality of the information and writing that is done that
is more important.

If you need help with writing, please contact the writing centre and it is strongly suggested that you have
someone else also review you work before you submit it.

Please review the Rubric very carefully.

Scope Statement

Report Introduction
What is the purpose of this report, how is it to be used on your Project. Remember, you are creating this
report for the Operations, VP/Sponsor or other Stakeholders at the company, so keep the correct context.
This is a business report that you are developing that will be used position your project. You will also
give a brief description of the Project, ensure that they is sufficient content to allow the reader to
understand what that Project is all about. Ensure you give context to each section.

Project Approach
How will you be managing this Project for the Organization, what Project Management model will you
use, in PRJM1000, you were exposed to different Project Management Lifecycle Models, so please look
into this. Provide context to the model, why, etc. Ensure that someone that is not a PM expert will
understand, and remember you are developing for the Operations VP. What is the benefit of this model in
how your are Managing your Project. Ensure you give context to each section.

See Page 178-179 of PRJM1000 Textbook 8th Edition. Ensure you give context to each section.

Project Objectives
See Page 180-181 of the PRJM1000 Textbook 8th Edition. Ensure you give context to each section.

Project Assumptions
See Page 183 -184 of the PRJM1000 Textbook 8th Edition. Ensure you give context to each section.

Summary
Bring the report to a close and summary the report for the stakeholders. Ensure you give context to each
section.

References
Note, ensure you in-text cite all of your work, ensure you have supporting evidence to that aligned to
what you have written.
If you need to include hyperlinks to meeting recordings, etc, please do so as needed. Please ensure you
have permission to record any meetings before you do so.
