What is a Barcode?
A barcode is a square or rectangular image consisting of a series of parallel
black lines and white spaces of varying widths that can be read by a scanner.
Barcodes are applied to products as a means of quick identification. They are
used in retail stores as part of the purchase process, in warehouses to track
inventory, and on invoices to assist in accounting, among many other uses.

They’re also far more accessible than standard barcodes. Common digital
image sensors can scan a two-dimensional QR code. So it’s easy to turn
cell phone cameras into QR code scanners—which most major phone
manufacturers have done. Virtually all major cell phones now scan QR
codes with their regular camera
2D-3D SCANNER:
OCR stands for "Optical Character Recognition." It
is a technology that recognizes text within a digital
image. It is commonly used to recognize text in
scanned documents and images. OCR software can
be used to convert a physical paper document, or an
image into an accessible electronic version with text.
