08 Task Performance 1 ARG Professional Issues in Information Systems and Technology

The document describes a scenario where a 14-year-old girl has been talking to a guy named James on Messenger. The guy's profile seems suspicious and he has been pushing the girl to send photos and meet up. The response recommends laughing at the situation, telling the girl James has bad intentions, and advising her to block him because he is no good for her. It also suggests reverse psychology tactics like asking to video call James or for him to send a photo first before the girl does. The goal is to identify James and avoid him in real life since his intentions seem criminal.

08 Task Performance 1 ARG Professional Issues in Information Systems and Technology

Read the scenario below then answer the given question in at least seven (7)
sentences.

One day, your 14-year-old sister asked you if it’s normal for a guy to ask her to meet up.
You found out that she’s been talking to a guy named James on Messenger. You found
his profile suspicious, for he only had one photo and the account was recently created.
You saw their conversation. At first, the guy was nice and friendly, but after some time,
James has been asking your sister to send photos and pushing her to meet up in
person. What would you do?

Answer:
First, I will laugh tremendously, and tell her that Guy wants to Smash or do something naughty
with her, the guy had a different intention, evil one that is, so I will tell my sister to block that
guy and he is no good to her. Or maybe I could ask my sister to tell the guy that my sister will
send her photo if the guy sends it first or to make sure, ask the guy to video call, and then if he
agrees I will ask my sister to screenshot it. And then end the call and then block him from social
media, in that way at least we know what face he posses and we can possibly avoid him in the
real world But if the guy does not agree, I will ask for my sister’s phone and do some reverse
psychology to this guy until he agrees, and then if he calls I will take it and then he will only see
me and not my sister, I will tell him that I’m catfishing him HAHAH in that way the guy himself
will avoid my sister. I know it is not a correct process to do in this kind of situation, But it is also
hard to assume on things maybe the guy had a good intention he just a creep but with a good
heart, reporting it to the police or to anyone might end up in bad situation. So for me the best
solution for this is to make things hilarious. Its all about mind games, if you know how guys
thinks or criminals, then its easy for us to elude them since their intention will be diminished. A
passive aggressive acts.
