It also covered natural language processing and an introduction to deep learning. The 57 faculty participants found the training to be informative and the speaker effectively addressed all questions.

REPORT on 2 Week Industrial Training on the Topic “Data Science”

Department of CSE(1st shift) organized two week online Industrial Training programme on the
“Data Science” from 15th Nov to 26th Nov, 2021. The expert was Mr Ravikant Tyagi from Brain
Mentor Pvt. Ltd. who has an experience of 8+ yrs as a Data Scientist and Software professional.
His expertise is also in implementing both web and client-server architecture based apps, Data
Science and Deep Learning Application. The session was conducted from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm
every day on Google meet. It was a 10 days course on data science. On day 1, the session was
started with the introduction of python, Python Software Setup and Basic Syntax of Python
Programming and Loops. On the second day ,topics Automated Scripts ( Web Crawling ), Movie
Search Engine Using Web Crawling and more about API Calls were explained. On the third day,
expert explained more about Functional Programming with Python, Basic Functions and
Parameters Generators and Filter, Map, Lambda, Reduce. More advanced topic like Data Analysis
and Visualization and how to Get start with Numpy. Data Analysis using Pandas and Data
Visualization with Matplotlib and Seaborn were also explained on the forth day of training.
Introduction to Machine Learning, Mathematics of Linear Regression, Mathematical
Implementation of Linear Regression using sklearn and Other Regression Techniques were
presented well on last day of first week.

In the second week of the training session, introduction to Logistic Regression and Covid-19
Prediction using Logistic Regression was discussed. The techniques like Image Processing, how
to start with OpenCV and other libraries, Face Recognition Using Machine Learning, Gesture
Controls, Hand Tracking, Text Processing (NLP), Introduction to NLTK, Text Classification were
explained in detail in the remaining days of training. On the last day expert also give an overview
about Deep Learning, ANN and its Python Implementation.

The industrial training was attended by 57 faculties. Overall, it was an informative program and
the speaker had discussed the topics very well and had entertained every query raised by the
faculty.
