Alcohol Lamp – used to heat substances.


Wire Gauze – used to spread heat.
Graduated Cylinder – used to measure approximate volume.
Beaker – used to hold liquid and solid substances. Also used for
measuring approximate volume.
Test Tube Holder – used to hold test tubes.
Evaporating Dish – used to heat and evaporate liquids.
Stirring Rod – used to stir or mix liquids.
Tripod – used to keep things above alcohol lamps or bunsen burners.
Tongs – used to hold or pick solids.
Erlenmeyer Flask – used to mix solution multiple times.
Florence Flask – used to hold solutions of chemicals.
Safety Precautions BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the EXPERIMENT
- Do not eat inside the laboratory.
- Do not drink any chemicals in the laboratory.
- Wash your hands before using any laboratory.
- Keep long hair tied back and make sure long necklaces are safely
tucked away
- Keep your area neat and tidy after using the lab.
- Wash your hands after using the lab.
