I. COURSE DESCRIPTION (Teaching 1)


The course introduces prospective teachers to the nature of teaching. It deals specifically with the principles of effective
instruction and the concomitant processes involved; instructional planning and demonstration teaching. The course is a blend of
theoretical information and selected matching actual experiences.

III. Course General Objectives:


At the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate:
1. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the concept of the teaching professions and principles of teaching.
2. Decision – making skills related to selection of appropriate objectives, content, materials, methods and strategies evaluation
Techniques as well as classroom management
3. Competencies in applying principles of teaching in actual learning situations

V. Course Requirement
- A rating of at least 75% in all quizzes, test and preliminary, midterm and final examination.
