I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students can:
a. draw a concept on how the universe was created;
b. fill in the given graphic organizer to discuss the story; and
c. create another ending of the myth through a role play.

Materials: visual aids, handouts, marker, pictures, scotch tape

III. Procedure

A. Preparation

The teacher begins the class by checking the


attendance. Then she asks the students to
enumerate the classroom rules.

1. Raise your hand before speaking.


2. Talking to your seatmates is prohibited
unless it is related to the lesson.
3. Listen attentively and participate in

4. Always address “TEACHER” rightly
when answering in oral recitations.
5. Speak in ENGLISH.

B. Motivation

The teacher divides the class into four groups.

minutes to complete the activity. Then, have a
representative to present your work.

C. Presentation

The new lesson for today is “Tungkung Langit


and Alunsina”.

Before we go deeper into the myth that we will (all the students read the objectives)
be reading, here are the objectives that we will
be fulfilling throughout this lesson. Kindly read Objectives:
everyone starting from the first objective. a. draw a concept on how the universe was
created;
b. fill in the given graphic organizer with
the answers being asked; and
c. create another ending of the myth
through a role play.

Tungkung Langit and Alunsina is a myth that


tackles about the creation story of Panay. The
author of this story was found anonymous but
was later adapted by F. Landa Jocano.

Here is brief information about Jocano. Mikka Mikka: Felipe Landa Jocano was a Filipino
kindly read. anthropologist, educator and author known for
his significant body of work within the field of
Philippine anthropology and in particular for
documenting and translating the Hinilawod,
Western Visayan folk epic.

Ana: The story was very interesting teacher
because we now know another version of how
the world was created.

sad because of what happened to Tungkung
