Chapter I
THE PROBLEM AND IT’S BACKGROUND
Introduction
Having a job is very important to all and all of people need jobs to live. Employment in the
Philippines has been significantly impacted by COVID-19 and the majority of workers claimed
that their jobs were suspended, their hours and pay were cut, or they were required to take unpaid
leave. Only 37% of workers were able to say that COVID-19 had no influence on their work. Six
out of ten families suffered income losses. By reassuring that people can support self, work enables
to feel proud and satisfied of self. People can pay bills and for leisure activities by working and
earning money. People with disabilities are increasingly visible in a variety of jobs across the
community. If the applicant has carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis, filling out standard paper
forms might be painful, sometimes literally. It is also true that many job candidates, especially
those under 30 or the youths, feel more at ease communicating with a keyboard than with a pen or
pencil. Employers also gain since hiring managers and HR staff won't have to strain their eyes to
see poor handwriting.
Online Job Application System is web-based job application system that allows jobseekers
to create, update, save and submit an application on-line using any web enabled computer at any
time of the day or night. Online application enables the job hunters to search and apply for positions
in a web-based environment. The applicants can view and apply for job postings using the system's
all inclusive, integrated online features. There is no longer a need to submit paper application and
resume documents or electronic document attachments via the e-mail system. The user account is
a password-protected for purposes of maintaining an online employment application, creating and
saving resume and tracking the status of positions applied for. With an online application system,
jobseekers can search and apply for positions from virtually any location at any time.
Many companies, business and organization now a day require job searchers to apply for
work online. The Online Application System will help the applicant to apply job in Vape Max
without personally going to the shop. This online application system will make the application
easy and fast. Almost all people are using internet and applying face to face takes a lot of money
and effort but using the online application system it will be lessen. The Vape Max stablished in
2018 and aiming to be a good shop for vaping industry. It has several branches across Laguna
Province including in Calauan, Cavinti and in Santa Cruz. The company's goals are to create a
healthy relationship between employers and employees by establishing the values of loyalty,
trustworthiness, openness, and understanding of the global marketplace; to offer a highly
competitive benefits package and opportunities for career advancement and skill enhancement
within the workforce; and to focus all individual efforts on achieving employment in a leading
global organization.
Background of the study
On online job application, there are thousands of websites where you can post your resume
online in applying a job in an easy and convenience way. All Online job application is designed to
screen people out and make possible to reach a goal in their life. Online job application is one way
to make people easier their life in finding a job. Explore some of the job-hunting resources the
internet has to offer. Flipside Digital Content Company Inc. wants to experience in finding
applicants easily like the other company. Flipside Digital Content Company Inc. is a provider of
premium electronic publishing, publication and distribution of electronic books(e-books).
Basic traditional recruiting begins with processing an application form. In addition,
detailed employment standards are set and a job description for each position is offered.
Application forms and resumes should be verified with the scope of verification increasing
according to the importance of the position to be filled. Finally, performance tests and other
evaluation aids can help in finding the best person for the job. However, this method may take
much time and effort.
The traditional hiring process (i.e., from advertisement of job positions to hiring of
successful applicants) has its own inherent weaknesses. The advertisement of job positions alone
may pose a problem. It is costly to advertise through print media (e.g., newspapers or magazines).
Thus, the publication of job positions can only be advertised for a short period of time. Also, the

Application is set to change the way in which companies recruit their workers. Online Job
Application, as a fundamental business process, is the removal of complex and unnecessary paper
works, and the introduction of streamlined workflow systems, reliable database applications, and
efficient communication channels between job seekers and managers. “At a relatively low cost,
the Internet offers employers and job searchers access to detailed and up-to-date information about
job searchers and job vacancies in different locations around the world”. In this manner, companies
can commit themselves to equal opportunities as job providers and can attract new and qualified
candidates.
The intention of Online Job Application system is facilitate both the candidates seeking
jobs as well as the employers looking for employees for their companies. In this online application,
any job seeker can search for the available jobs at any moment with updated information. When
he finds a job, he can post his application to the job on line. Employers can advertise the
vacancies by taking the membership, logging in and posting the job information with the eligibility
criteria for the jobs. This system establishes a direct connection between the employer and the
job seeker. A job seeker can directly visit this portal and view the jobs availability information
along with downloading the required information. When he logs into the system, he would be
able to upload his application and post walk-in details which he knows would be held by a
company. This information helps other users very much to attend the same. Further, the user will
be able to view the list of companies for which has already applied. This enables him to take a
decision when he gets a call from a company and how much time elapsed since he has applied for
the company.
Limitation Once the applicants report to the company, the company or the staff of the
company has an authorized to know the applicants if they are pass or not. Thru text or call coming
from the company what should the applicants to do next. You can’t view to our site the processes
of the company, it is confidential. It is just between the applicant and agency and employer. Only
authorized person can view the applicant form and can decide what they should to do. An
authorized has only access to delete or to add the job position. Authorized person has only right to
add the user for the admin site but there is some page that the user that the admin add to view some
confidential page that the admin has only access to enter or to view and edit it. An admin has an
authorized to add a user to have an access to change the position desired and can decide who will
be to employed or conduct an interview.

RESEARCH PROBLEM AND STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


When online job application is not have been discover applicant always rely on bulletin
flyer or sometimes in the newspaper just to find a job and it always a lot of work just to find an
open slot for a job you as an applicant will be need to go to the recruitment center or place that the
human resource is hiring people it will consume lots of your time and you will have no assurance
that you will past or find the job the you are applying for here comes the online job application
system by using this system the needs of face to face hiring will not be needed because just using
this system employers will just put the job hiring information so applicant can see it and apply for
the job the online job application is have been very effective in many years that it have been created
or used however with the increase of the number of job seeker/applicant.
The system may have a few downsides when using it may waste a lot of time when
comparing and finding the suitable applicant and suitable job for the said applicant and when you
are using the online application it will never be a 100% sure that you will not encounter any
problem while applying for the job for example because this system rely on the internet if you lose
a connection the interview or meeting will be interrupted but don’t worry if your connection is
lose it will alert the other side that you have a connection issue it will try to reconnect again when
your connection is back it will automatically connect itself back to the meeting/interview and
another problem of this application system is sometimes applicant get bored when filling up some
information forms that the employers need to the applicant that’s why we will limit the form and
get the information while in the online interview.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The people that will benefit with the study are the future researchers, job seekers, and the
researchers themselves.
Future Researchers. They will have a chance to get more knowledge about this study.
This research will serve as an additional information for their study. This can be used as a
reference for the research that they will conduct. It will serve as their guide along the way.
Vapemax. The vapemax institution will be able to benefit to the results of this research
for they will be aware of their program for their study
Researchers. They will be able to comply to the final requirements of their program. They
may use it as basis for their future research or dissertation in their Master’s thesis.

useful info.

system is to point out how the online application system will help the applicants and job seekers

who want to work for Vape Max in applying job. The system only focuses on online application

for a job in Vape Max shop and its relation to the effectiveness of the online system for the
