An SSD or seven-segment display is an electronic display device that uses light emitting diodes to display decimal numerals as an alternative to dot matrix displays. It is composed of seven segments that can each be independently lit to represent different numbers or characters. There are two types - common cathode, where high voltage turns the segments on and low voltage turns them off, and common anode, which operates in the opposite way. An RGB module uses red, green, and blue LEDs to display various colors by combining the intensities of the individual colors, while an LDR or photoresistor is a component whose resistance changes based on the amount of light hitting its surface.

SSD or Seven-Segment Display

An SSD or Seven-Segment Display is a form of electronic display device for displaying decimal
numerals that is an alternative to the more complex dot matrix displays.
Normally the use of a segment includes score boards or displays of a single digital number or
character.
A 7-Segment display is composed of light emitting diodes that are small and comes in various
colors.
All 7 segments need to be lit resulting in a total current of nearly 140mA (8 x 20mA)

Two Types of Segments:

Common Cathode (high means on, low means off)
Common Anode (low means on, high means off)

RGB Module
uses an RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) LED to emit various colors and effects in their projects.
RGB color space or RGB color system, constructs all the colors from the combination of the
red, green and blue colors.

RGB Colors:
Red - red only
Green - green only
Blue - blue only
Yellow - red and green
Cyan - blue and green
Purple - more blue than red
Magenta - more red than blue
White - all colors on
Yellow Green – a lot of green and bit of red
Turquoise - more green than blue

LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)

also known as Photoresistor, is a passive electronic component.
An LDR varies its resistance based on the amount of light that hits the surface; we can measure
the resistance and use this to determine the level of light present.
