TOEIC test scores are deter- mined by the number of questions answered correctly. There is no penalty for wrong answers, ‘The number of correct answers on each section, Listening and Reading, is converted to a number on a scale of 5 to 495. The score reports provide Listening and Reading scaled scores, and a Total scaled score. The Total scaled score is derived from adding the two section scores together. The maximum score on TOEIC is 990 points. Certificate of Achievement, which is an acknowledgement of a test taker's English proficiency, will then be given to the test taker. F Preparations Before taking the TOEIC test, there are several things you have to do to prepare for the actual test and improve your English proficiency. 1.
