Warm-up Week
Participants will be provided with a demo and hands-on exposure to trading on NSMART. In the
Warm-up Week, participants can practice and hone their trading acumen, and also prepare
themselves for the contest.
Trade Week
The Trade Week is Stage I of the contest. It is a zonal stage where participants will compete with
fellow participants from their respective zones, viz., North, East, West, and South.
Objective: Book the HIGHEST PROFIT at the end of Trade Week
while following sound trade practices.
The participants will be allotted virtual money of Rs. 20 lakhs on NSMART. They can trade on
equity (cash segment) and equity derivatives (futures and options segment), adhering to the
Contest Rules, Terms and Conditions.
12 Participants
QUALIFIED (3 from each of the four zones) will qualify for the Grand Finale
based on the profit booked, number of trades, number of trading hours,
adherence to the contest rules, and other criteria.
Grand Finale
The Grand Finale is a national-level live event where the 12 finalists shall individually present
their criteria for the selection of stocks/futures/options and the trading strategies they adopted in
front of the Jury. The finalists shall present the rationale behind each trade executed. The Jury
will evaluate the finalists not just based on the profits booked, but also on the stock/future/option
selection criteria, strategies adopted, innovation, and sustainability of strategies, among various
other factors.
The best trader identified by the Jury will be declared as

such form and manner as NSE Academy, in its sole opinion, deems fit. The participants/contestants shall be responsible to
check the said Terms and Conditions and remain updated, at all times, with any modifications/amendments/changes to the
same. It is clarified that the Terms and Conditions (as may be modified/updated/amended from time to time) shall be
binding on the participants/contestants for the purposes of TRADE-A-THON.
The decision of NSE Academy in selection of finalists, awardees and winners shall be final and binding on all participants /
contestants. The participants / contestants shall not interfere with / attempt to influence the evaluation / selection process
in any manner.
Once the participation fee is paid by the contestant / participants, NSE Academy shall not be liable or responsible to refund
such fee for any reason, whatsoever.
Any person associated full-time / part-time, directly / indirectly with National Stock Exchange of India Limited or any of its
group companies / subsidiaries or affiliates will not be eligible to participate in TRADE-A-THON.
Ignorance of the terms and conditions published in the brochure and/or website of TRADE-A-THON and/or announced
formally in the training / orientation sessions / during the course of TRADE-A-THON, will not be considered as an excuse for
violation of the said terms and conditions.
TRADE-A-THON is only for students of UG/PG Courses, Ph.D / Research Scholars, and students of any full-time/part-time
or professional courses at or above higher education level. Participants must produce a valid identity card from their
education institution when asked for, failing which they will be disqualified from TRADE-A-THON.
The Rules of the Contest will be published closer to the dates of TRADE-A-THON, in the brochure / website / social media
platforms / emails and other channels. All participants registering for TRADE-A-THON shall strictly abide by the rules failing
which they will be disqualified.
