There is a new computerizing work stations but therer is no productivity , there is a problem
at :
1) Poor design work stations
2) Inadequate training of the productive workers
3) Lack of financial incentives for increasing productivity
4) Lie of supervisors that there is a strong feeling about work stations
5) Moral declination
6) Quit of two employees because of upset feeling that there will be any change in the work is
done
7) Complain of customers that there is a defective product is received to them
They took the decision and approved it from CEO for installing a new computerized work
stations without studying the decision previously well or planned for it. Paul accepted the plan
of his engineer without taking the ration step of planning, organizing, leading and controlling
that any manager can do it at his normal business.
(a) Planning:-
So they have many steps must be passed by first before taking an action, based on the market
experience and observations of the other companies, the way to increase the efficiency and
effectiveness of production in Echo electronic company also based on fredrick taylor :-
( 4 principles )
SO it may result from employees laziness and de-motivation or m ay reslut from non training
their employees well on any new technology.
Factors Of Success
(1) work specialization
Paul must work on his employees and making a Training and Courses and make orientations
that will improve and develop the skills and techniques of his employees in order to increase
the production and be out of any default.
(2) empowerment
Paul must increase the salaries of his employees and making a Promotion hierarchy that will
empower employees to do their maximum to get this new title or to get a higher salary that
comes from competition between employees which will result at the benefit of the company
at last.empowerment can be happened by making any other Type of entertainment to your
employees and gives benefits to your employees may all of these resulting in increasing
employees retention.
(2) Diversity
Each one is adding what he has from his experience to the other will let the work be more
special and unique. The diversity is an outcome from different type and different skills that
employees have to add value to this company.
(B) organizing:-
Supervisor has disorganizing and they deny that they have an issue at it as they shared with
Paul that there is a Poor Productivity which is resulted from employees laziness and de-
motivation but in the real, it is the outcome of their poor managerial and supervision skills.
So they must reorganize them during their work and making a new techniques and different
manner in order to get a higher Performance of employees.
(C) leading:-
The good leader who encourage his employees to perform and give their maximum at the
work and feels his employees as part from his family, and give them what they want to
perform their jobs at a best manner that did not happen at Echo electronics, they Just Plan to
increase their production and they did not think about their human capital , they do not Plan to
develop their human asset.
(C) Controlling:-
Echo electronic has an issue at Controlling Step as the new working stations are going
properly with the other company but it does not go Properly with Eco electronics employees
because the productivity and quality are decreased. So the outcome of Control Process is
decreasing leads to poor efficiency and effectiveness of employees work and
Mis-management of Supervisors and managers.
* Echo electronics has a high huge Problem at social responsibilities at
motivating, encouraging and supporting their employees, echo electronic
has an issue at his resources [it to may has a lack in the resources of
making Communication equilment], lack in raw material or maybe lack in human
Capital or lack in skills and techniques of using new electronic Computerized
work station.
So Paul and his supervisors and team leaders of each departments must do
(1) Identify the issue and its resources (reasons). Paul and his supervisors must recognize
the situation of the organization that they have, and how to limit their low organization
Performance efficiency and effectiveness) and study the Market (Place which operates his
organization), or even his segmenting market.
(2) Brain Storm ( how Can be solved or be reduced the issues that company faces and the
sources that issues stem from )
Paul must make a brainstorming and share any new plan with his employees before getting
agreed about it.
(3) Gather information about who faced it and in which part it has a high Problem with.
Paul should gathers information about the new computerized workstations and how
employees will feel when they will deal with it in their jobs, share with employees any
decision you will take.
(4) Make a Plan about to whom paul make agreement to get the product ( computerized
workplace ) and how much will it cost and about the specific courses must be took by
employees to know how to deal with it to get a higher performance.
(5) Make an action of getting new computerized workplace now paul must deal with experts
who have a huge knowledge to lear his employees about this new electronic equipment
(5) Evaluate the employees 3 to 6 months after getting new equipment and after training his
employees about the using tips so paul should evaluate the productivity performance and if he
saw it is being less, he must repeat the training sessions to his employees.
(7) Understanding the different cultures and different mental skills of his employees and must
be patient and work on motivating his employees by repeating courses for who feels unskilled
*Supervisors at Echo electronics are external locus of control as they are denying that there is
an issue comes from the employees that who supervise,they share with paul that there is lack
of Productivity but they never tell that it comes from mis supervision and disorganization.
(2) Access decision alternative: setting the know how steps of exploiting this decision without
affecting on the Cost of the organization and if go perfectly paul should access its alternative.
(3) Implementing decision alternative: is the Process of using and implementing this decision
and when its being wrong should correct and revaluate it .
(4) Learn from Feedback: always asking the other companies if they are leaders in the market
in order to know if I am in a good Track or not.
