Alma Mater

Six years ago, I entered this portal of our dear alma mater
with the bowed aim of absorbing the desired knowledge,
every good virtues and anything that I perceived our school
can offer to make me grow in wisdom. Today, after six years
of fruitful sacrifices I recall having acquired the good virtues
and knowledge, I am ready to face the life anew. But more
than this is my acquiescence to the truth that the youth is
for the future, and the future is for us. By now, we have to
think of what good we can do for our selves, for our
fellowmen and for our country, armed with the good
teachings of our parents, our teachers and our alma mater.
We have to move forward to face the challenges of the
times. I know, doing this is not an easy task. But with our
youthful exuberance so vivid and strong, I know we can
break the turmoil of the sea; all we have to do is to resist
temptations to be able to face ourselves from the wings of
evil. We have to prove to our alma mater that we are
worthy to be called her sons and daughters. We should
make the solemn vow, to live up to the expectations of our
alma mater, our parents and our teachers and above all, our
loved ones. Thereby giving them relief and brighten glory.
Lastly I say the challenge is ours, the answer is yours.
 Light Bearer
The light symbolizes truth, the truth that will
make men free. Let the fire of truth burn in our
hearts as we battle the darkness that threaten to
destroy the foundation of our society, the family.
As a youth, in our hands lay the hope and life
of our country. Come my dear juniors and seniors,
come together and let the flame of truth be our
guiding light so that we can walk in the path of
righteousness, bringing forth the wisdom of
education, that our alma mater have bestowed
upon us.
 ACCEPTANCE SPEECH OF THE JUNIOR MAYOR
In behalf of the juniors, I accept with all humility, these
symbols of responsibility namely, the key, the cane, the
mantel the dove, the gavel and the records. To the seniors,
our predecessors, we do solemnly promise on this joyous
occasion, to do the best we can for our school, for our
community, and for ourselves. Guided by our parents and
our teachers and the good virtues we learned from our
school, we assure you, we will not fail you. We know that
with faith, hope, patience and perseverance we can go
forward to carry on the responsibilities you have placed into
our shoulders. There will always be obstacles but the
challenge is there. It is for us, the juniors to exert all our
efforts to hurdle the obstacles. We have to walk with faith
in our hearts, determined to follow the gleam in search for
the right path. This is how we the juniors should do our part
in order to prove to you seniors that the legacy we now
inherit will have the true meaning worthy of emulation.
 SENIOR PRESIDENT
Distinguished visitors, our dear mentors and beloved
juniors and seniors for this school year 2019-2020.
We the seniors of this school year 2019-2020, we are
now on the way for a final exit from this beloved alma
mater, Daragutan East National High School. We are leaving
behind you with the full expectation that you will continue
to labor hard in order to materialized your dreams,
aspirations and ambitions of your parents in particular and
become future leaders of tomorrow.
Remember, our dear ALMA MATER, shares the pride
and honor of me, her products are sailing with academic
excellence which is the need of the time.
Therefore, in behalf of the seniors, I have the honor to
turn over the key of responsibility, to the junior president of
this school year 2019-2020.
Please carry on this key of responsibility with sincere
commitment for the general welfare of the school populace,
and above all always seek the aid of the divine providence
for his divine guidance and I pray that you will be the model
in all aspects of discipline in this school. I Hope that you will
continue to look forward to carry on the mission and vision
of our beloved alma mater.
Cane
Symbolizes our path as we walk in this world. Troubled as it seems, but
with the guidance of the Lord almighty He is the light to our path and
direct us to eternal life.
Gavel
Symbolizes order. No man is above the law. The rule of law must be given
equally to all men, we are bound to obey these. Good citizens are those
who obey and uphold the law.
Record
Symbolizes written record of our life. How we live our life as a student
and in the future will be our mark. So we should live an excellent print of
being good and smart student, obedient children and model citizens.
Dove
Symbolizes peace. We get education to become an instrument of
progress and development.
Progress and development can be achieved through the unity of all
concern. Unity comes from a peaceful environment. Fellow students, let
us embrace the principle of peace starts from us.
Key
Symbolizes responsibility. Let us be responsible in our thoughts, words
and indeed. Excellence in this aspect are the key to succeed in our life
endeavors. Armed in this aspects is power, because great power comes
great responsibility.
Mantle
Symbolizes the blanket of strength. We cover our selves with the virtues
of faith, hope and love. These are our strength to make our spirit grow
strong, build an attitude of success in years to come.
