MID-YEAR IN-SERvICE TRAINING (INSET) OF TEACHERS FOR SY 2022-2023

Public Elementary and Secondary School Heads
All Others Concerned

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 034, s. 2022 titled School Calendar and Activities
for SY 2022-2023, the first two days of the five-day mid-year break of February 6 to 10,
2023 shall be spent in evaluating the schooll's progress in the implementation of the
educational programs, projects and activities, as well as in
reviewing the performance
of teachers and the school staff to address concerns through cooperative effort. The last
three days shall be devoted to the conduct of the school-based INSET activities for the
teachers' continued professional development and the preparation of their instructional
materials.

2. In this regard, all school-based INSETs to be conducted on the above-mentioned


dates should include topics and skills that should address the
training and development
needs of teachers. Also, schools are enjoined to include in the matrix of the activities
for the INSET the topics undertaken in the Division Capability Programs especially on
the enhancement of teachers' instructional competencies in teaching literacy and
numeracy.

3. All schools are expected to submit to this office their respective proposals with
training matrices of the school-based INSET on or before February 3, 2023, 12:00nn
through the Curriculum and Teaching Division copy furnished the School Governance
and Operations Division. Expenses to be incurred in the conduct of School INSET shall
be charged against Local Fund/MOOE.

4. Education Program Supervisors and Public Schools District Supervisors shall


check the approved proposals with matrices, monitor, and spearhead the process
evaluation of the above-mentioned activities.

5. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
