ON THE DISTANCE PIECE AFTER
PROPER CLEANING
2 - CHECK LUBE OIL SYSTEM - LUBE OIL
LEVEL AND RUN MANUAL OIL PUMP IF
ANY
3 - CHECK THAT THE WATER PUMP IS
RUNNING AND THAT THE WATER IS
CIRCULATING CORRECTLY
4 - CHECK THAT SUCTION GAS VALVE
IS CLOSED
5 - CHECK THAT COMPRESSOR VALVE
DELIVERY VALVE TO THE CLIENT IS
CLOSED
6 - CHECK RECYCLE VALVE IS FULLY
OPEN AND IN MANUAL OR THAT THE
UNLOADERS ARE IN UNLOAD POSITION
7 - CHECK THAT THE VENT VALVE IS
CLOSED AND IN AUTOMATIC
8 - REMOVE THE BY-PASS ON THE LOW
SUCTION PRESSURE ALARM IF BY-
PASSED DURING PREVIOUS TEST
9 - CHECK PERSONNEL ARE NOT
WORKING ON OR AROUND THE
COMPRESSOR
10 - ISOLATE THE NITROGEN SUPPLY
LINE
11 - OPEN SLOWLY THE SUCTION
VALVE AND PRESSURIZE THE
COMPRESSOR AT THE DESIGN
SUCTION VALUE
12 - CHECK FOR LEAKAGE ALL AROUND
THE COMPRESSOR AND PIPING. IF
NECESSARY CORRECT LEAKAGE.
13 - START THE COMPRESSOR WITH
BY-PASS FULLY OPEN. VERIFY THE OIL
PRESSURE REACH THE DESIGN VALUE.
14 - ENSURE THERE ARE NO
ABNORMAL NOISES COMING FROM
THE COMPRESSOR
15 - RUN THE COMPRESSOR WITH BY-
PASS FULLY OPEN AND KEEP
PRESSURES AND TEMPERATURES
SURVEIED
16 - CHECK FOR LEAKAGE ON GAS AND
WATER PIPING. IF NECESSARY TIGHT
FLANGES AND CONNECTIONS.
17 - CLOSE MANUALLY AND
GRADUALLY THE BY-PASS VALVE TILL
THE DESIGN DELIVERY PRESSURE IS
REACHED

18 - CHECK TEMPERATURES OF THE


RODS AND PRESENCE OF OIL LEAK
TROUGH THE OIL SCRAPER RINGS.
19 - AGREED WITH THE CLIENT ABOUT
PROCEDURE IN ORDER TO START TO
DELIVER PROCESS GAS TO THE LINE
20 - START TO DELIVER GAS TO THE
CLIENT OPENING GRADUALLY THE
DELIVERY VALVE. A PREVIOUS PERIOD
OF VENT COULD BE NECESSARY TO
VENT THE NITROGEN - PROCESS GAS
MIX AND THEN DELIVER TO THE
CLIENT ONLY PURE PROCESS GAS.
KEEP PRESSURES AND
TEMPERATURES SURVEYED FOR 4
HOURS.
21 - ADJUST INTERCOOLER AND
AFTERCOOLER WATER OUTLET VALVES
TO REACH THE DESIGN WATER AND
GAS TEMPERATURE
22 - CHECK AGAIN FOR LEAKAGE ON
THE PIPING DURING ALL THE RUN AT
DESIGN PRESSURE. IF ANY CORRECT IT.
23 - RECORD ON THE A9 PRESSURES,
TEMPERATURES AND ALL THE
AVAILABLE DATA
24 - STOP THE COMPRESSOR
25 - MAKE THE COMPRESSOR SAFE.
ISOLATE ALL THE PROCESS GAS
CONNECTIONS AND OPEN AGAIN THE
NITROGEN SUPPLY LINE.
26 - CORRECT ANY DEFECTS FOUND
DURING TEST
27 - CUT OFF POWER AND RECECK
BELT TENSIONING
28 - CHECK CONDITION OF WATER
FILTER AND IF NECESSARY CLEAN IT. IF
WATER IS VERY DIRTY INFORM THE
CLIENT THAT WATER QUALITY IS NOT
GOOD. PURIFICATION SYSTEM MUST
BE INSTALLED.
