Review the requirements for the CCCM at ncmahq.org/certification/CCCMeligibility.asp. There are three options to become eligible to sit for the CCCM exams:

CCCM Eligibility OptiOn A


REQUIREMENT #1: A bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. Check to see if your school is accredited at ope.ed.gov/accreditation/search.asp. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A copy of your college degree or diploma. REQUIREMENT #2: At least 24 semester credits of business-related courses. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A copy of your course transcript. REQUIREMENT #3: At least two years of work experience in the contract management field. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Complete the Relevant Work Experience section of the CCCM certification application. REQUIREMENT #4: At least 40 continuing professional education (CPE) hours specific to commercial contract management topics. Subjects specific to commercial contract management refers to training or coursework that is based on the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). For more details, see ncmahq.org/ certification/docs/CPE_requirements.pdf WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Copies of documents verifying that you completed at least 40 CPEs in commercial contract managementspecific topics. Certificates of completion and/or transcripts are preferred. REQUIREMENT #5: At least 80 continuing professional education (CPE) hours in contract or business management-related topics. For more details, see ncmahq.org/certification/ docs/CPE_requirements.pdf. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Copies of documents verifying that you completed at least 80 CPEs in contract or business managementrelated topics. CCCM Eligibility OptiOn b Candidates without a


bachelors degree from an accredited school. REQUIREMENT #1: A request to NCMA for a waiver from the bachelors degree requirement. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A completed Request for Waiver of Degree form and a letter of recommendation from your work supervisor supporting your candidacy. REQUIREMENT #2: At least 24 semester credits of business-related courses. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A copy of your course transcript. REQUIREMENT #3: At least 0 years of work experience in the contract management field. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Complete the Relevant Work Experience section of the CCCM certification application. CCCM Eligibility OptiOn C Candidates without the


20 CPEs REQUIREMENT #1: A bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. Check to see if your school is accredited at ope.ed.gov/accreditation/search.asp. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A copy of your college degree or diploma. REQUIREMENT #2: At least 24 semester credits of business-related courses. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: A copy of your course transcript. REQUIREMENT #3: At least two years of work experience in the contract management field. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Complete the Relevant Work Experience section of the CCCM certification application. REQUIREMENT #4: 20 CPEs (with at least 40 of the 20 CPE hours specific to commercial contract management topics) to be submitted within two years of receiving the NCMA Certification Exam Registration Letter. A candidate will only be deemed certified when the candidate has passed both CCCM exam modules and submits the 20 CPE hours within the two year eligibility period. Candidates who fail to submit the 20 CPE hours by the two-year eligibility period deadline will be required to re-apply for eligibility to take the examination again by submitting a new, completed application form, application fee, and accompanying documentation to NCMA. For more information, see ncmahq.org/ certification/docs/CPE_requirements.pdf. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT: Mark on your CCCM certification application that you choose CCCM Eligibility Option C. Within two years, submit your completed 20 CPE hours. The 20 CPE hours must be submitted together. It is the responsibility of the candidates to keep track of their hours.

8. 9. 0. NCMA Accounting Department receives your application package. NCMA Certification Department reviews application (46 weeks). During the certification application process, there are two results:

If application is incomplete, the Certification Department will e-mail you a list of missing application items. You will then have an opportunity to provide NCMA with the missing requirements.

AppRovEd
If the application is complete, the Certification Department will e-mail you an NCMA Certification Exam Registration Letter containing information and instructions on registering for the certification exams.

Before registering for the CCCM exams, review the Certification Exam Frequently Asked Questions at ncmahq.org/certification/faq.asp. Register for the exam modules following the directions in the Exam Registration Letter.

3. 4. 5. Review the Study Materials Frequently Asked Questions at ncmahq.org/certification/faq.asp. For the CCCM certification, you must take and pass the Commercial Knowledge Exam Module and the General Business Exam Module within your two-year eligibility period. Upon completing your exam module at the testing center, a score report will be issued to the candidate indicating a score of pass or fail. NCMA will receive the test results directly from the testing center. Only candidates who do not achieve a passing score should e-mail the NCMA Certification Department at [email protected] requesting an examination retest. A candidate is still required to pass the exam modules within the original eligibility period. Once you have passed both the Commercial Knowledge Exam Module and General Business Knowledge Exam Module, you have earned your NCMA CCCM certification! A new CCCM certificate and pin will be mailed to you approximately 36 weeks after you pass your last exam module. Now that you are a brand new CCCM certificant, your name will be listed in an upcoming issue of Contract Management magazine.

Please have your completed checklist and supporting documentation prepared prior to contacting NCMA for the informal CCCM application assessment. Note that informal application review requests can take several weeks and even longer during the months of SeptemberMarch.
