FOR ONLINE EXAM
Version 1.0

This document contains


The details for the students at Amity University Punjab, Mohali campus on how to access
online exam portal and take their exams as well as some Instructions, recommendations and
guidelines related to the online exam
1. Exam Date Sheet, Access keys and URL for online exam
• Exam date sheet can be accessed through Amizone (https://s.amizone.net/) under
the menu examination>exam schedule

• Against each course the URL(web address) of the exam portal and access key to give
the exam are displayed.
• The access key will be displayed one day prior to the examination date

2. Technical requirements for giving the online exam


a. Network Speed
i. Minimum bandwidth required to run online test - 512 Kbps
ii. You can check your network speed using http://www.speedtest.net
iii. If your network speed is above the advised speed, you should not a face a problem
while attempting the test.
b. Supported Browsers
You can attempt the online test on any of the following recommended browsers:

c. Device and Screen Resolution: This exam can be accessed through the above
recommended browser versions on any device like mobile, tablet etc. However, it is highly
recommended to take this exam on a desktop or laptop only with minimum screen
resolution of 1024 x 768
d. System Updates: It is recommended to disable automatic updates, security patches of the
anti-virus definitions and/or OS/application updates during the test to avoid any
interference while taking the test. You can disable automatic system updates/downloads
for the duration of the test as they may lead to heavy downloads during the test and auto-
system restart will hamper your test progress.
e. Firewall Settings: If you are attempting the test form any office premises, it may be
possible that there are certain local network restrictions in the network firewall may be
preventing the access to this exam portal. If you are facing any such issues, please contact
your local network administrator and ask them to perform the following actions
Grant necessary firewall permissions to allow all requests from all subdomains of
“amizone.net” in any of the following manner:
i. If possible, allow access from the network to *.amizone.net
ii. If wildcards are not allowed in the firewall configuration rules, then please allow
access to amizone.net, s.amizone.net, aupexam.amizone.net for port 80 (http)
and 443 (https)
f. Browser Cache:
It is recommended to clear your browser cache and history before start of the exam
3. Preparedness:
a. Please make sure to keep your Amizone login details handy to see your exam keys
for your various courses. The key will be visible on Amizone one day prior to the
exam date.
b. Logon to the exam portal by accessing https://aupexam.amizone.net/examcode or
the URL the mentioned against the course in the exam schedule

d. You can use the key provided on your Amizone for the course to logon to the exam
portal well before the exam and move on to the Instruction Screen. Please read the
instructions carefully on that page. You can do this from 24 hours in advance to the
start of the exam
e. The total time available for Core Courses shall be 60 minutes and for VACs and AECs
it shall be 30 minutes. This does not include the time for going through the
Instructions or filling in the feedback form.
f. You will be allowed to submit the Feedback form anytime provided for it before the
exam time on the day of the exam. You will be able to take the exam only after you
have submitted the Feedback. In case you have submitted it much in advance you
will need to wait for the popping up of the question paper which will start at the
exact scheduled time.
g. Access Key will also be sent as SMS on the mobile phone and on the official email
address mentioned in their respective profiles on Amizone.
h. In case your browser freezes while taking the exam and/or you get logged out and
have to start the exam again. It is possible. You will be able to resume from the
same point at which you got disconnected. Answers till that question will be auto
saved.
i. Please note that the end time of the exam shall remain the same as per the exam
schedule irrespective of the start time after filling up the Faculty Feedback form.
j. In case you apprehend failure of electricity/Internet, connectivity can take the
exams from the university campus.
k. The score achieved will be reflected only after the final submission of the paper. The
paper once submitted cannot be retrieved, please note.

4. Faculty Feedback
a. The feedback about the faculty can be given 30 mins prior to the start of the exam
by clicking on “Provide Feedback” button on the Instructions page which will be
enabled 30 minutes before the start time of the exam. If the button is not enabled
by then, please reload/fresh the webpage. Providing Faculty Feedback is a
mandatory step to be completed before your exam.
b. Please rate your respective course faculty on 10-point scale against each parameter
and submit.
c. After submission of feedback, you will see “Start Exam” button at the bottom of the
screen which will be enabled exactly at start time of the exam. If the button is not
enabled, please reload/fresh the webpage.
5. Online Exam
a. After clicking the start exam button, the exam Screen is displayed with the following
i. Question and Answer options on Left Panel with Previous and Next buttons
to navigate
ii. Timer on Top Right Corner
iii. Progress/Status on Right Panel with Question Numbers (shown in green if
attempted and in grey if not attempted) and Finish Button. You can move to
a particular question by clicking on the question number in this panel.

b. For MCQ questions, select/check the correct answer by clicking on the radio button
in front of the answer option
c. For fill-in the blanks type your answer in the textbox provided. Do not copy paste
your answers.
d. After answering a question, the corresponding question number on the right panel
turns green. Please wait for the question number to turn green after answering.
Also, the progress bar on top of the right panel shows “number of questions
attempted/total questions”
i. Move to next question by clicking on “Next” button or to previous question
by clicking on “Previous” button respectively.
ii. You can also navigate to any question by clicking on the corresponding
question number on the right panel.
e. The timer displays the time left to complete your exam. Please make sure to
complete your exam within the scheduled end time.
f. Do not use “Back (Alt+Left Arrow) button” of the browser during the exam.
g.
6. Finishing the exam
a. Please make sure to answer all questions within the exam duration. You can see that
all the question numbers you have answered turn green on the left panel. If any
questions left are displayed in grey. You can click on those questions to answer
them.
b. Please note that once you have answered all questions, all question numbers turn
green on the right panel.
c. Once you have completed answering the questions and ready to finish, click on
“Finish Exam” button to finally submit your exam. You are prompted with the
number of questions not answered by you with a confirmation box upon clicking on
the Finish Exam button. Click “Save” to submit or “cancel” to continue answering.

d. Once you “Finish Exam”, the result page is displayed with your exam score. You will
not be able to access the exam after Final Submission.
e. Please note that if the exam is not completed within the scheduled duration, the
system will auto submit your exam immediately after the lapse of the timer and will
show the result screen.
