INTRODUCTION

Technology, as we know, is applying scientific knowledge that can be put

into practical use to solve problems, particularly in industry. Technology

nowadays becomes a part of our life, and it makes our daily living easier and

faster. It is widely used around the world. The innovation of technology has a big

impact on our society, business, and industrial workplace. One of the best-known

technologies we have is modern computer technology. The computerization of

the information system is concerned with the interconnection of various yet

interdependent transactions. This can lead to a system of well-integrated

processes that can operate much more quickly and accurately than a manual

system.

The best application for this is the motorcycle shop system. Previously,

when technology is not yet introduced, traditional method of giving information

about the service was done manually. The manual system had been in place

since the beginning of the motorcycle shop operation. During checking the

problem of motorcycle, riders will always go to the motorcycle repair shop to

check the problem, of their vehicle. The manual check-up procedure slows down

the process of determining the problem of their motorcycles. Delays in checking

up and giving information about the needed to repair in the motorcycle

sometimes can be lead to a multiple problems.

This system is about a Webpage of GML Motorcycle Parts system related

to information technology. In order to help the employee and provide the

assistance they need for this system was planned for the client. Many companies

use different types of web page system to promote their shops. These online

webpage systems are usually used for selling motorcycles parts and giving

information for the maintenance of their motorcycles for a more reliable and

faster transaction between the motor shop and the customer.

Background of the Study

This study is to create and help the motorcycle shop to promote their

products and services using online web page. A traditional way of selling and

giving information about their services is not too effective especially to those who

are using online promotions of their motor shops. This study aims to digitize and

bring the selling and promoting their services offered online for faster and

convenient method for their customers. This study also aims to help GML

Motorcycle Parts to improve its service and making it accessible to their

customers compared to what they are currently using. The system can give

information for the customers about what is problem and needed service they

must take.

Statement of the problem

The purpose of this study is to create a Webpage of GML Motorcycle

Parts and Accessories as Form of Accessible and Convenient Method for

Motorcycle Riders in Dasmariñas, Cavite

Specifically, the study will seek to answer the following questions:

1. How does and web page help to make the service of the motorcycle

shop convenient and accessible?

2. What are the difficulties encountered in doing web page services?

3. How it is important to the GML Motorcycle Parts to have a web page?

Significance of the Study

This study will be conducted with the aim of gathering important

information and knowledge about the chosen topic from respondents, as well as

recent studies or thesis, and related sites, in order to provide the expected

importance to the individuals as follows: 

The employees of the shop will be aware what are the problems of the

customer that needed to be resolve.

The company, this study will provide website that can help the customers

to easily solve their problems and boost the performance of their motorcycles.

The client will be please by the services offered by the employee,

because the worker is capable and motivated. 

This study aids researchers in their quest to help the employees to

provide good and best service for their customers. The researcher can determine

the use of webpage as a form of accessible and convenient method for

motorcycle riders.

This study will assist future researchers who plan to conduct research

studies since it will serve as their tools and guidelines for doing so, and they will

be able to learn new knowledge and ideas from it. 

Objectives of the Study

The main objective of this study is to develop a proposed system that is

widely available, easy to use, and make the enrollment procedure faster and

more organized. Specifically, this study targets to achieve the following

objectives:

 The web page will be able to boost the promotion of the motorcycle

shop.

 Gives more convenient and accessible service for the customers.

 The system will able to give information about the service offered by

the motorcycle shop.

 The system will be able to manage the solution for the problem of the

vehicle and inform the rider.

 The system will give more clearly and accurate information for the

riders.

 The system will be more focused on a user-friendly interface.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

The study aims to determine the Webpage of GML Motorcycle Parts and

Accessories as form of accessible and convenient method for motorcycle riders

in Dasmariñas, Cavite. The data collection will be conducted to 20 selected

customers of GML Motorcycle Parts and Accessories, who will represent the

population. Each of the respondents will be given the same set of questionnaires.

Lastly the questionnaire that the researchers have created will serve as the

primary source of data.

Assumptions

The assumption of the website is to give the customer of GML Motorcycle

Parts and Accessories a visual about what are their products or other service

they offered in their Motorcycle Shop. The GML Motorcycle will update their

dashboard every week where the customers will see what are new and available

parts or accessories for their motorcycle also the customers can see whether

they need to change some parts of their motorcycle and can be pre-diagnosed

online so when customer arrive at the shop they can easily know what are the

things needed to do in their motorcycles. A customer support will be provided to

the website so that the customers may ask questions that can be answer by the

employees of the motor shop and also the website may provide a information

about the usually problems encounter by the rider in their motorcycle so that the

customer may easily browse if there is the same situation given in the website

and there will be the solution and other things needed to do by the rider to fix

their motorcycles. Registration information is instantly added to the database

without the need to manually enter the information.

Conceptual Framework

According to Brigita Go (2012), running an online business is much better

than opening a store. Selling online is indeed one of the great ways to make

profits online. In fact, it is also a great way to widen your target market and grow

your business fast as well. Carolyn Anderson (2012) stated that "by putting your

business online, you are also widening your reach worldwide". It is important to

check out some online selling tips that may help make selling successful. Since

the Internet is booming, having an online ordering system can boost sales to

some extent as it eases customers to place an order for the company's services.

People can place orders from their home as long as they have a computer/laptop

with Internet connection.

principles or procedures according to which is done.

other profession person or company.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

The literature and studies cited in this chapter tackles the different

concepts, understanding and ideas, generalization or conclusions, and further

development related to the study of the enrollment from the past up to the

present and serves as the researchers’ guide in developing the project. Those

The extension of technology that integrates the electronic media in the

buying and the selling process is known as the Ecommerce. Elton (2012)

mentioned that the ecommerce website has deflated the dissimilarity of the

world. According to Kart iwi (2006) the use of e-commerce in small medium-sized

enterprises (SMEs) has become an important topic in information systems

research. At present, there is a large number of well-documented benefits

derived from e-commerce for small-medium enterprises (SMEs) both in

theoretical and practical literature. Ian Ross Hollander (2012) stated that there

are three online marketing trends every successful entrepreneur must adopt:

communities are critical, dynamic browsing environments and control what you

create. According to Harris (2012) the online medium offers a big platform to

promote your business as compared to other medium available. Your products

and services will reach to a large number of potential buyers only if you choose

the right marketing medium for your business. An online ordering system permits

a customer to submit online orders for items and/or services from a store that

serves both walk-in customers and online customers. According to Michael

Braganza (2007), ecommerce is the latest mantra in increasing your sales. This

their current system problems like missing orders and loss of data possibly occur

by the implementation of the online ordering system anyone that have the

benefits of online advertisement of a product. One is, you have wide coverage

makes your business to reach more audiences. Second is, it is more affordable

Overview of Current Technologies Used in the Current System

According to WHO Philippines’ Dr. John Juliard Go, 53 percent the riders or

passengers of motorcycles, tricycles, and other two- or three-wheeled vehicles

are involved to accidents. This is an alarming number given that the motorcycle

rider communities are rapidly growing. We the researchers come up with a

solution to lessen and prevent these accidents with the use of modern

technology.

Our website can offer services, safety features and maintenance procedures to

the rider’s community around Dasmariñas City, Cavite. An internet connection

subscription is needed to access the proposed system. By using desktop

computer, laptop or even smart phones you can access our website to be

granted with the following advantages. Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS)

will be activated upon the registration on our website, this will allow you to

choose your specific motorcycle model and type-in the exact mileage of the

motorcycle to be guided with the proper maintenance procedure as well as the

list of the potential motorcycle parts that needs to be changed or consult for a

repair.

The website also offers a front end page that allows the website viewer to look

on the available motorcycle parts, accessories and oils to be placed as an order

if ever the customer decided to install the purchased item on their own. You can

also book for an appointment of your choice to ensure that all of the following

procedures that were shown by the website's suggestions of the PMS will be

The customer can also check for the available mechanic real-time for a time

efficient service.
