(31-35) Do you agree with former President Noynoy Aquino’s decision for not considering Nora Aunor to be
recognized as a National Artist? Explain your answer. (5pts)

Yes, because I respect the choice made by our previous President Noynoy Aquino to reject Nora Aunor's
request for national artist recognition. He claimed that the actress' drug conviction in the United States
was the reason he decided against awarding Aunor the National Artist title. She is not a good role
model for Filipinos, according to the president, and he has a point because young teenagers will be our
country's future leaders or its best hope.

(36-40) Does Apo Whang-Od deserve to be recognized and given the GAMABA award? Explain your answer.
(5pts)

Yes, Whang-Od holds the prestigious title of Mambabatok and is the only living
traditional tattoo artist in Kalinga. She began learning the traditional tattooing technique
known as pagbabatok as a young child and is credited with tattooing more warriors and
headhunters than any other member of her tribe.
III. ILLUSTRATION. (10 pts)
(41-50) Imagine yourself as a skilled “mambabatok” or traditional tattoo artist of your province or town.
With this, draw your best tattoo design that may represent Philippine culture and explain your work briefly.
