I. Background of the project

Our school is one of the top performing school within the division of Sagay City in terms of
its learning environment. This was realized because of the effort and cooperation of every
individual involve like teachers, students and the stakeholders who joined forces to make the
goal possible. However, because of the current pandemic most the activities are halted for the
security of everyone’s health and welfare. It creates a gradual change in the school system as a
whole which also affects its physical environment. In line with this, through the willingness and
initiative of the teachers spearheaded by the School Head, a new project is proposed.

“AESTHETIC IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SCHOOL


FRONTYARD/ENTRANCE” is a project proposal designed which aims to uplift the
atmosphere and to create a warm welcome to the people upon entering our beloved school
Sagay National High School – General Luna Extension. This highlighted the need of
development of the school to make a more appealing and pleasing learning environment. With
the unanimity made by the teachers together with the School Head, they will contribute
voluntarily at least P 100.00 each monthly for the rest of the year for cleaning, landscaping,
beautification and maintenance purposes. There will be a designated person/s who will be
responsible for doing the said activity.

The school is the best place which is conducive for learning. Physical environment plays a
great role in influencing learners and the community as a whole. Through this, the community
especially the parents or guardians would be encouraged to actively be engaged in any school
activities that in turn could somewhat bring a great advantage in their child’s performance
during this modular type of learning.

II. OBJECTIVES

1. To improve the school premises physical environment

2. To rehabilitate the plants within the said area to promote green environment
3. To maintain its aesthetic quality for the rest of the year
III. SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY

The purpose of promoting this project is to have a greener and more welcoming school for
all. It gives a spirit of belongingness as the school is known as the learner’s second home.

IV. Beneficiary of the project

The targets of the project are the mainly the students and parents/guardians of Sagay
National High School - General Luna Extension. In addition, this also serves as a way of
empowering other umbrella organizations like BSP, GSP, YES-O and the like.
