GIATP: Design problem for B. Arch.

“CITY CENTRE”
Commercial cum Recreational hub at Bahadurgarh, Haryana
Development Authority (HUDA) has proposed a commercial cum recreation centre in
Bahadurgarh. The centre will provide a platform for entertainment and good health of people in
the region.
Space requirements:-
1. Administrative area- 150 – 200 sq m.
2. Shops 30-40 no. (sizes 40- 60 sq. m. Each)
3. Multiplex with three screens with snacks counters, common lobby, toilets etc.-
i) 100 Seating capacity- 1 no.
ii) 200 Seating capacity- 1 no.
iii) 300 Seating capacity- 1 no.
4. Conference halls with common lobby-
i) With seating capacity 50 seating – 2 no.
ii) With seating capacity 100 seating- 1 no.
5. Sports facilities- Squash court- 3 no., Billiards hall- 6 board capacity (Indoor).
6. Fitness centre- SPA, Gym, Yoga centre (indoor)
7. Badminton courts- 5 no. (indoor)
8. Tennis court- 6 no. (Outdoor)
9. Indoor badminton court- 4 no., (indoor)
10. Aerobics hall with ancillary spaces - 1 no.
11. Public library/ Reading Room- 1 no. (50 seating capacity)
12. Food court- 1 no. (8 stalls with service area)
13. Restaurant with kitchen and other ancillary services- 1 no. (with seating capacity of 100
people)
14. Bar- 1 no. (25 seating capacity)
15. Basket ball court- 2 no. (Indoor)
16. Open air theatre-1 no. (150 seating capacity)
17. Swimming pool (Olympic size) with ancillary services- 1 no.

Site is located in sector- 6 of Bahadurgarh. The site has good accessibility through metro and
buses.

Maximum Coverage= 30%
FAR Maximum= 1
Set back (towards Major road)= 15 m
Set back (towards minor road)= 9 m
Set back (side without road) = 6 m
