1.1 Manufacturer’s Note

1.1.1 How to use these instructions

System knowledge (training, online help), knowledge of Windows 7 and patience
are required for the following work steps.
You will be successful only if you follow these instructions step by step and do not
skip any points.
n Please first read the entire paragraph in advance to have a better understanding
of the work steps.
n Go back to the beginning of the paragraph and follow the instructions step by
step.

1.1.2 Screenshots & graphics in this document

Screenshots and graphics used in this document should be viewed as examples only.
They cannot describe all possible input combinations; they have an informative character
and are used only for better orientation.
The actual parameters that must be configured can either be found in the text and the
tables or they depend on the requirements and configuration (items included in the ship‐
ment) of the individual system.

1.1.3 Introduction

This document describes the software installation procedure for Cios Select systems on a
Celsius W530 PC. It is valid only for the SW versions mentioned on the cover sheet. Usu‐
 ally software installation using the system SW DVD is not necessary since the re-installa‐
tion is performed using the COBR Tool. See the Cios Select CB-DOC, chapter installation /
FLUOROSPOT Compact / Software on the CS Intranet (Print Number AX41-060.816.14).

To install the software, you will need the corresponding system SW installation DVD,
which is not included in the system shipment. Check the spare parts catalog for the appli‐
cable version of your system.

1.5.5 Internet Based Connection (IBC)

An internet-based connection is an alternative SRS connection method via the Digital

Subscriber Line (DSL).

 For initial setup of the internet-based connection, refer to the SRS configuration docu‐
ment, XP00-SRS.843., in the corresponding product CB-DOC (Service - Siemens Remote
Service - SRS - Configuration).

A new one-time password (OTP) is required to re-establish the SRS connection using in‐

 ternet based connection (IBC)!

The new OTP can be obtained from the SRS Help Desk.

To set up the internet based connection, you need to contact the SRS Help Desk
( Tab. 10 Page 37).

This configuration will establish an SSL tunnel through the hospital network directly into
the Internet via outgoing TCP port 443.

 Not all countries allow direct access (outgoing via TCP port 443) into the Internet --> part
of the clarification process using the SRS configuration management checklist.

Setting up the internet-based connection

n Start the SSW.
n Go to <Configuration> <Site Info>.
n Record the system material number and serial number.
n Call the SRS Help Desk to obtain a One Time Password (OTP) ( Tab. 10 Page 37).
n Start the FL-C SSW.
n Select <Configuration> from the main menu.
- Choose <SRS Configuration> <internet based connection> from the tree browser

1.5.6 Reinstalling system management

Prerequisite for the following configuration steps for system management is that the SRS
router is set up correctly (refer to the corresponding system startup instructions). Other‐

 wise the system management installation will fail.

This document is N O T intended for initial SRS setup. For this, see the corresponding in‐
stallation and startup instructions (XP00-SRS.843.02)!

These instructions are not applicable for initial system management installation.

 The following paragraph describes how to restart system management if it was previous‐
ly in use.
