 Steps taken when assess leather upholstery to be cleaned.


- To nourish the leather, mix one part white vinegar with two parts linseed oil, shake well, and
apply to the leather using a soft cloth

a. Why is important for housekeeping personel to have knowledge on cleaning agents to be used
on the above mentioned areas?
- Without proper chemical based knowledge, errant mixtures can become harmful in a hurry.
Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, safety policies, and chemical use and storage will
keep you and your co workers safe from harm.
b. What are the preliminary steps when cleaning?
- Prior to developing your food safety plan, it is necessary to complete five preliminary steps
that provide the basis of you plan.
