MICROSOFT WORD 2010 BASIC

INTRODUCTION TO MS WORD 2010 The Title Bar is located at the top of the active window and it

TABS and RIBBON


The Ribbon – replaced the menus and toolbars in previous
Word versions. Many features that were hidden in menus are
now seen and are readily accessible from the ribbon.

The Tabs shown at the top of the ribbon are Home, Insert,
Page Layout, Reference, Mailings, Review, and View.
Click each tab to display related command groups.

Home Tab

What can you do using a word processor?


 Insert text – lets you add text anywhere in the
document.
 Delete text – lets you erase characters, words, lines,
or pages in a document easily. Insert Tab
 Cut and paste – lets you remove (cut) a section of text
from one place in the document and insert (paste) it
somewhere else within the document.
 Copy – lets you duplicate selected text.
 Print – lets you send the document to the printer in
order to produce a hard copy.
