Applications" organized from 26th - 28th of September, 2018 by Department of Computer Science,
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (University of Delhi) during the session 2018 - 2019:

26 September 2018, Wednesday

A 90 minute introductory session was conducted by Dr. Rajni Bala which started at 09:30 AM which
included basic constructs of the language, variables, operators, functions (built in and user defined).
Then, a 30 minutes break was taken and students were provided with refreshments. Post the
refreshment session, the next session started with an amazing energy which was taken by Mrs. Preeti.
She covered control structures, break and continue statements of the Python language.
The next session started with great enthusiasm and was conducted by Dr. Arpita Sharma and she kept
all the students connected till the lunch break at 02:00 PM.

The event resumed at about 03:00 PM with regained energy in students. Dr. Arpita Sharma started

concentration and dedication. Adjacent exercises with the concepts helped the students to strengthen
the concepts and tackle different problems.

At 04:30 PM, work for the day completed and everyone left joyful and satisfied.

After the refreshments session, tremendously energetic, Mr. Ankit Rajpal took over with his
exceptional session on error handling and file handling in Python till the lunch break at 02:00 PM.

After the lunch break, the session resumed with Dr. Rajni Bala educating everyone with the concepts
of classes and objects, one of most important and basic concept of the language on which the whole
language is unified. So, all the students took this session very seriously, and were able to solve almost
all of the practice problems given at the end of the session.

That's how the Day 2 ended at 04:30 PM, everyone in hope of something exciting for the last day,

A total of 40 students ranging from first year students to third year students from Computer Science
(Honours), Physical Sciences with Computer Science, Physics (Honours) and B.M.S. took part in this
workshop. The good part is that the workshop had only 40 limited seats, so it was a house full event.

Mr. Sanjeet Kumar from the Department of Computer Science provided constant support throughout
the workshop, and helped sharing resources and figuring out students' problems with the concepts,
while solving the given exercises.

Mr. Manmohan Pushkarna provided all the necessary technical support in the lab throughout the
workshop.

The following student resource persons helped a lot throughout the workshop, and were awarded
