Using the Compatibility and Availability Overview

M3 Product Compatibility and availability Overview describes the following information on product releases:
Compatibility:
 Product offering release information
– Product Offering Release name & version (i.e complete M3 offering for each M3 Business Engine
version, such as “M3 13.1” etc)
 Related Infor products information
– Product name & compatible versions of related Infor products (software components), third party
products and middleware for each M3 offering
Availability:
 Available language translations for each product (sofware component) (the current version for each offering)
 Available Country Versions for M3 Business Engine for each offering
 Available platforms for each product (sofware component) (the current version for each offering).

For more information of the compatibility or availability of a specific product, please refer to the Release Notes or
Installation Guide document of that product (software component version).

Updates in each revision of this document are marked with yellow highlight. Brief change log for this document is
found in Appendix C.

Interpreting Contents of Cells in the Compatibility Overview

 When a cell indicates major version.minor version. with service pack ‘x’ (such as 13.1.1.x): that means it is
supported from the first service pack level (13.1.1.0) and continues through the current service pack .
 When a cell indicates major.minor.service pack (such as 13.1.1.1): that means it is supported with the indicated
service pack (such as 13.1.1.1) only.
 When a cell indicates from major.minor.service pack to major.minor.service pack (such as 13.1.1.2 – 13.1.1.3),
that means it is supported only during the indicated service pack range and is last available in the ending service
pack.
 When a cell indicates major.minor.service pack with double dash (such as 13.1.1.2 --), that means it is supported
from that service pack level and on all later service pack levels for that release.
 When text is struck-through, it means that the information will be deleted from next revision of this document.

A01. IBM Websphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND)
Allows the use of the J2EE application server and web services content, to be used in conjunction with
Infor M3 Product Suites only, subject to the following restrictions:
– Deployment Manager is restricted to manage processes or JVM's on a single production
machine.
– Workload management is restricted to a single production machine.
– Use of the High Availability Manager and use of clustering over more than one machine are
restricted.

A02. IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus

– WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus is available on Windows platform only.
– WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus is limited to a single production machine deployment
environment for use in connections (1) between Infor M3 applications, and (2) between Infor
M3 applications and Non-Infor M3 applications in the Infor M3 applications and business
process. Use for connections between two Non-Infor M3 applications is not permitted outside
of the Infor M3 applications and business processes.
– Use of the WebSphere Application Server ND Program in WebSphere ESB is restricted to use
as defined above.

A03. IBM WebSphere MQ

– WebSphere MQ is available on Windows platform only.
– WebSphere MQ is limited to a single production machine deployment environment for use in
connections (1) between Infor M3 applications, and (2) between Infor M3 applications and
Non-Infor M3 applications in the Infor M3 applications and business process. Use for
connections between two Non-Infor M3 applications is not permitted outside of the Infor M3

 Infor supports Infor M3 Products on stated Operating Systems; this includes Operating Systems on
virtualized hardware.
Clarifications:
 Stated Operating systems may be run on the physical or virtualized hardware of your choice. Infor will
not make statements about specific hardware or virtualization technologies required for use in order to
receive support unless a particular Infor M3 Product requires such a statement. The hardware and/or
virtualization technologies that your company employs should be based on your own experience,
knowledge and expertise.
 Per Infor M3 Global Support procedures, if Infor suspects that a reported product issue is related to a
third-party product not directly supported by Infor (e.g. hardware, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware,
operating system, etc.), you may be required to work directly with the third-party vendor to resolve
issues. You may also be required to modify your Infor M3 environment in order to target the root cause
of the reported issue.
