NSTP Reflection Paper
1. Choose three (3) words that best describes your experience in planning and/or
volunteering for community service. Elaborate.
The best things that describes my experience on volunteering for community service first is it
gives me opportunity to enhance and develop my social skills and meeting new group of people
like students in other school, and then by donating 50 pesos and 80 pesos for the outreach
program organized by the SCO officers and Our professors in this subject Nstp and then on
Accountability it’s a great opportunity thing to do by donating for to provide things important
things like for Christmas spaghetti noodles for the families, health kits, school supplies by the
other people who needed it because By giving back to the community , you can show them
firsthand how volunteering makes a difference and how good it feels to help other people
and enact change.
For me the things that I learned from these experiences were that volunteering brings the best
feels and fulfillment to my life because by contributing to the community I find it meaningful
and interesting. It's an escape from a day routine of school work, and for me it provides a sense
of purpose also because for what I know older adults, especially those who have retired or lost a
spouse, can find new meaning and direction in their lives by helping others. Whatever your age
or life situation.
3. As you plan and/or execute your community outreach program, how would you feel if you
were one of these people to receive these services/donations?
If I were the one of the people to receive the services and donations. I will be grateful to those
who organize the outreach program and to those who provide ayuda packs to us and to remember
the great deeds that they have given to us and will treasure their generosity and kindness for
volunteering to give some donations to us.
4. With your experience or just having thought about it, did you feel like you made a difference?
For me yes I feel like I made a difference because helping to other people by taking an action for
a great change that it feel like wanting to create a more of an impact to the community, because
by helping to the community it’s an opportunity for me to grow as a person for making a change
to have a difference.
5. In terms of planning and/or executing the project for the community, how will you share this
experience and learning with others?
I can share this by posting on Facebook that I will encourage them to try also for joining by
volunteering to the community to the place that need some support and help, in order I can make
also a positive impact and change to the community by spreading to make difference.
6. In your observations, from planning and/or executing your project, what are some of the
pressing needs and issues in the community? What are the needs or challenges facing them that
particularly got to you?
The needs or challenges facing in the community is that they have Lack of Funding for Schools
and Housing, and still struggling in poverty.
For me the values, opinions and beliefs have changed by volunteering made me realize about my
purpose in life to be of service to others, to help those in need, to uplift lives, and to appreciate
this life I have and never take it for granted. By dedicating our skills and time to a community
hoping that will bring about some positive change and contribute to the lives of those involved
while simultaneously learning something new and getting the sense that doing something good.
8.Talk about your frustrations and disappointments or successes of your project(planning and/or
executing), what did you learn from it
I have no frustrations in our project. But I did learn that by planning a project you must set clear
goals and objectives to the planned project proposal and must have a schedule for planning it
with your members so that they can share some ideas and examples of project service to the
community what can offer to them. In order to make your project successfully planned.
9. How does service-learning experience connect to the long-term goals? Refer to the
sdgs.un.org/goals. Elaborate.
Service learning is active learning in which young people contribute to their communities that seeks
to connect community service with the academic curriculum. Involving students in their community
has long been thought of as both valuable and motivating to students in that it provides
opportunities for the application of academic, social, and other skills to real world issues and
problems occurring in their local environment, Service learning and community service programs
aim to accomplish these goals. Community service occurs when individuals provide voluntary
assistance to benefit a community. This can be provided by individuals or organizations, such as
schools, and can be directed at a wide array of types of assistance within the community.

coronavirus-but-not-from-hunger/
The people being discussed in the article are one of the recipients of your services/donations.
What can you say about their situation and about helping them? Do you have more or less
empathy for them? How does it feel to know that you can help others?
I feel sad about their situation for not having enough of supply of food and rice due to the
pandemic It’s the best thing for me for able to help to the community/ The dumagat tribe in
Rodriguez Rizal so that they can get out of what they experience on the challenging situation
while on pandemic and now they can be back from earning on their main livelihood of fruit and
vegetables by selling it again near the Rodriguez Municipal Hall now that they can have a budget
or be given by a grocery packs that they needed. But It was very frustrating to know that At first,
Ms. Dahlia when she lines up for emergency cash aid during a strict lockdown in last April 2021,
she didn’t have the chance to be given a ayuda, and their rice supply just lasted until dinner in
that day, that’s why her mother Conchita was forced to make the long trip from their home at an
isolated village in Rizal in order to provide for her family she sells fruits and vegetables in the
town paper, I wondered why Mrs. Cruz and her parents did not qualify as aid beneficiaries at
first for taking the government aid that are amounting to 4,000 pesos to provide help to them
during the lockdown, but in the end it’s good to know that in June 2021 dahlia finally got her
cash assistance of 4,000 pesos from the government after she has filed a petition for requesting
and asking for help to the dswd and barangay officials to include them as beneficiaries It turned
out they were not in their homes when a census was conducted in Barangay Puray for potential
recipients of the emergency cash assistance. Dahlia insisted she and her mother, who belong to
separate households, were already in the master list of beneficiaries as they received P6, 500
each for two rounds of assistance from the social amelioration program during last year’s
lockdown. Its great thing to know that the dumagat tribe in Rizal has resumed to have an income
after the lockdown last year they can sell once again of their products. I have felt sympathy for
those people in Rizal who are less fortunate. I feel compassion on helping their community in
rizal especially right now they have resumed for having a blockbuster sales because now the
situation has become great were on the new normal in our place, the pandemic is not in a bad
situation anymore by having less restrictions whenever going out. And helping people and doing
simple things for the community in need can be fulfilling and having a great purpose in my life.
