I. ACTIVITY/EVENT:
Hospitality Caravan and Exhibition: Hospitality Skills Beyond Boundaries

II. THEME:
“Strengthening Competencies of Hospitality Students in the New Normal”
III. DESCRIPTION:
The Hospitality Caravan and Exhibition is a 2 days event and it will be composed of a
Center Piece and Table Skirting Exhibition at the TCU Lobby and of different Skills
Competitions on 1st day and a Hybrid Lecture Series on the 2nd day. By sharing
informative insights from experts’ practitioners to provide students with powerful
strategies and opportunities that may enhance their potentials and skills as well as
confidence in showcasing their talents.
IV. OBJECTIVES
1. To conduct a virtual lecture series that will present the hospitality and tourism
industry with several topics focused on Strengthening Competencies of Hospitality
Students in the New Normal.
2. To have an exhibition and competitions that will enhance the confidence of CHTM
students in showcasing their abilities and participating in different activities related to
their course.
3. To have fun with inciting learnings and excitement from the games and activities that
will entail for the betterment and subversive conditions that can broaden their
knowledge and skills under Culinary Arts, F&B Operation and Introduction to MICE.
4. To strengthen the skills and capabilities of CHTM students in event planning and
execution, specifically the 2nd year Hospitality Management students under
Introduction to MICE subject.
5. To showcase the rich culture of the hospitality and tourism industry and introduce it
to various senior high school and college students in the city.
6. To provide an inspiring and joyful experience virtually.
V. EXPECTED OUTCOME
1. Students are able to learn and strengthen their competencies in the New Normal.
2. Students are able to apply knowledge and strategies in performing different
activities and competitions.
3. Outstanding performance and best practices of the students in planning and
execution of events for the subject Introduction to MICE
4. Continuous development and showcasing the 4-Star Rating of APIEM for CHTM
as Center of Excellence in Events Management.
