Here is our presentation about the topic cyberstalking.

First we must answer the question, what exactly is cyberstalking?

Cyberstalking is a crime in which someone harasses or stalks a victim using electronic or digital means,
such as social media, email, instant messaging, or messages posted to a discussion group or forum.

Cyberstalkers take advantage of the anonymity afforded by the internet to stalk or harass their victims,
sometimes without being caught, punished, or even detected. This includes:

Sending threatening or abusive emails

Repeated contact through social media

Hacking into private accounts

Installing malware

Posting false or slanderous accusations online

Encouraging others to harass the victim

Thirdly, he are some Real life victims of cyberstalking:

First up we’ve got Cassidy Wolf, an American tv host, a model, and the winner of miss teen USA in 2013.
She only realized that she was being Cyberstalked when she received an email from Facebook, alerting
her of suspicious activity. Cassidy realized that her other social media profiles had been compromised.
Passwords had been changed, and her Twitter profile had been changed to an image showing her
partially nude.

Amanda Todd

Next up we got Amanda Todd, a victim of sextortion against children, During an Internet chat session, a
stranger asked her to bare her breasts. In a fleeting moment, she complied. Amanda had no idea he’d
recorded it. The stranger contacted her again and threatened to release the file unless she posed nude
for him. She refused, and the photograph was released to her peers. After being subjected to relentless
bullying as a result, Amanda committed suicide.

Joe Good

And last one we got is Joe Good, this one right here is quite interesting because Joe’s ex-girlfriend seems
to have taken inspiration from the popular movie “gone girl”. His ex-girlfriend sent a pornographic
photo to his boss, and Good lost his job of 24 years. Sadly it was only the beginning of a terrifying hate
campaign from an obsessed ex. In the coming months she would report him as a pedophile, attempt to
have his children taken away and attack anybody in Good’s life. Then she threatened to murder her 17-
year-old daughter.

And for the last part of our presentation, here are some signs that you are being cyberstalked,

1.You get notified that somebody has tried to access your email or social media accounts

2.Random posts appear on your social media profiles that you didn’t make

3.You frequently get friend requests from people you don’t know
