CASE STUDY NO .1: Cookies ATBP
3. A few moths after her graduation from college ,she was torn between accepting the
teaching position offered to her and continuing her baking business. her
entrepreneurial spirit and strong inclination in baking business made her decide to
become a full fleged entrepreneur. Besides,shr is the only needed to sustain this
and eventually expand her market, In the meantime , she desided to enroll in
baking school to enhance her baking and cooking skills she participated in food
exhibits and courses in finance and accounting,marketing and sales,and total
quality management to better prepare for her forthcoming roles.
4. Soon,she was producing large quantilies of baked product in her newly built
production area near her house, complete with baking facilities. She also put an
attractive show room in front of their house where neighbors can buy their products
at much lower prices. There are now three workers aside from her mother and sister
who help in the production,packaging and marketing of the products. In the
meantime, Olivia continues to experiment on other baked products as she
benchmarks on the product of her bakeshop and observes the demands for these
products .she always ask herself “how can my product make difference? Her
continuing effort in developing new recepices paid off when her brownies and food for
the gods became instant favorities.she also developed her own recipe for fruit
cake ,which,as her associates put it, was a dintinct from other fruit cake. Proof of this
is the high demand for her product that she distributes in some malls and big offices
during the Christmas season. This goes the same for her other products.
5. Olivia role as an entreprenuer has evolved. She now spends more time on product to
check on quality control and solve related problems. The bussiness now has ten people
in production, two in marketing, one in finance and accounting, and a driver for a
newly purchased delevery van. She has establishd three branches in three malls and
plans to put up more in other places.

1. What are the personal charactericstics of Olivia that make her promising entrepreneur?
Answer
-There are many of personal qualities of Olivia has that make her an promising entrepreneur. She
have a pleasing personality. Olivia has a happy disposition and that is a very vital characteristic of
an becoming entrepreneur must possess. She also a honor student elementary to college she have
a good intellect that make her survive her studies. Also she is a creative,innovative and
resourceful.
2. What traits does Olivia posses that make a successful entrepreneur?
Answer
-She keep herself optimistic she is always scanning the surroundings for opportunities to earn.

4.What steps did OLivia take to ensure the sustainability of the quality of her products?

to better prepare her for her forthcoming roles.
5. What conclusion can you draw from the case study with regard to qualities that make for a successful
entrpreneur?
Answer
-We firmly believed that the qualities mentioned in this case study to produce a successful
entrepreneur like Olivia are indeed appropriate and exact. This should be a mirror for all aspiring
entrepreneurs to find strength in their self and the story of Olivia can be a testament to them to draw
strength and courage, in later with God’s help and mercy they will become successful entrepreneurs.

CASE STUDY NO.2: GANDA MO, SAGOT KO!
1. Erik knows a lot about beauty care, having been around in his mother’s
“Ganda mo, Sagot ko! Beauty Parlor” since he was a kid he is now 22 years old and
graduated of bussiness administration.when his Mother passed away, he inherited
the parlor, being the only child in the family. His Father, who is an engineer, has
retired from ork and usually stays at home due to failing health.
3. Erik took chargeof managing the parlor, and he was assisted by her Mother’s closet associate in
the bussiness . during the first year when he took over, the bussiness was just as successful and smooth
sailing asit was. However, after a year, things began to change when the parlor’s income started to
drop, and the number of customers decreased. He found out that a new beauty salon called had been
put up around three blocks away from theirs. The salon called “Goddess Beauty” has been attracting
most of their customers.
4. Erik called a meetingwith his employees to thresh out problems in the parlor and find out what
makes the new salon click.his employees told him that it is new, modern, and furnished with modern
salon equipment.they also offer new services that their salon does not have.
5. His employees advised him that they needed to upgrade their facilities, buy new furnishings and
furniture, and improved the ambiance of the place with modern lighting and decors that will entice
customers to come back . there is also a needed to update the workers on new technology, products,
and services that are now popular in parlors wordwide such as nail art and designs, hand and foot spa,
and new hairstyles and colors.
6. At first, erik was hesitant to make the changes, having been used to his mother’s old ways of
running the bussiness.however, as the bussiness continued to dwindle and with other sourcof income,
he decided to make a loan for the purchased of new equitment, the makeover of the place current
practices in beauty care services.
7. Three months after,Erik beauty parlor has been transformed, and his employees were equipped
with new knowleged and skills set. Having a cheerful and endearing personality, he began going around
to visit his Mother’s loyal customers, telling them to visit the parlor and take advantage off their promo
of 50% discount on new products and services. Soon, his parlor was busy as ever as customers started to
partronize his place again.
8. The parlor is now regaining its popularity in the community. Meanwhile, Erik is trying to be
proven in spending as he is gradually the money loan for the improvement of the parlor.his employees
understand Erik’s predicament and glad to work without demanding an increase in their daily wages
until such time that the loan obligations are settled.

1. What are the personal qualifications of Erik that make it possible to run a bussiness like a
beauty parlor?
Answer
- Positive mindset/business minded person, risk taker, action taker passionate and humble

-Yes it was a good idea what erik did for rebuilding/renewing the salon, he listened to his employees

3. Will you agree that Erik is a modern entrepreneur in this 21st century? Explain your answer.
Answer
-Yes as long as he will become a successful for running a business through ups and downs and also for
trusting others and being a risk taker then i will consider him as a modern entrepreneur

-Yes, because he trust himself and also he trust people around him despite of his doubt still chose to risk

Case Study No. 3: Noli s Convenience store
1. Noli is a senior citizen who used to an accountant but now owns a small convenience store in their
neighborhood . he has his store for 2 years now, and he seems to be having a lot of fun and is happy
managing his bussiness.
2. He is good with his customers, even generous enough that he put up a free coffee vending at his store
for customer who want to have coffee. He has even put tables and chairs in front of his store for people to
have somewhere to sit on and hang out. He also treats his two employees well. The two employees used
to be street beggars whom he helped and hired as employees. Noli had a place to built just beside his
house where his employees could stay. He treats them well that he even manages to give them bronuses
and free lunch meals.
3. He loves to see people happy and makes a lot of effort in doing so. Noli has always been kind,happy,
and very generous person. He loves to help each other people and always feels a sense to fuldfillment
whenever he gets to help people someone in need.
4. People love to buy from his store because of his happy nature as a person and mainly beacause his
product are cheaper compared to other stores. More over, his store is the only stroe that allows customers
purchase product on a “buy now, pay later”option. To him, this is the part of good public relations.
5. However, Noli is not earning much from his store bussiness. The income is so low that he has only
enough to sustain his livelihood, and he just manages to break even in his expenses. For him , this is all
rigth as long as he is not losing money and is not in debt. What is more important for him is that he can
give the customers what they want, and he enjoys the reputation of having the best store in the
neighborhood.

-Noli is a good person and senior citizen who used to be an accountant but now he owns a convenience
store in their neighborhood .he seems very happy to having a small convenience store to manage his
bussiness.
2. Is Noli generosity with his customers and employees a good strategy for managing a bussiness? Why?
Answer
-He is good with his customers, even generous enough that he put up a free coffee vending at his store for

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of Noli practice of allowing customers to secure goods on
a pay-later sheme?
Answer
-He allows his customers to purchase a product on “buy now, pay later”.The people is love to buy from
his store because the product on his store is cheaper than the other stores and he is happy because this is
his the part of good public relations.
4. In paragraph no.5 what do you think of Nolis advocacy of simply earning little or even achieving a
break-even situation in his bussiness in exchange for satisfy his customers and enjoying the reputation of
being the best store in the neigborhood? Do you think this is a good bussiness practice? Explain your
answer.
Answer
-To a senior citizen like Mr. Noli the said advocacy is really suited to him. Why? Simply because he has a
pure heart and that didn’t make him less but rather a good factor for him to continue with his principle in
life which is to do good works to others. We have our own perspective in life and if you do not agree with
Mr. Noli then neglect his way of business. In latter, the least that we could do is help one another. To
answer the question, for us, yes this is a good business practice.

-Yes because he achieved his goal to be an entrepreneur,which is to spreading love, kindness to the
people who needing help and bussiness is not about financial but also be nature as a person and know
your emotional and spiritual.
