Many ínvertebrates have an exoskeleton. This is like a skeleton
outside rhe body, whieh supports and proteets the invertebrate.
Insects, spiders é1nd millipedes have d thin exoskeleton, Clnd
crabs and lobsters have a thick exoskeleton.
Irwertebrates are different in otherways. too. Spíders have eight
légs. insects have six legs and millipedes have hundreds of legs!
Like many vertebrates, invertebrates lay eggs.
