Reaction Paper of Module 3

This document summarizes different types of storage devices. It discusses hard drives and their increasing storage capacities from MB to TB. It also describes optical discs like CDs and DVDs that store data using microscopic grooves laser etched onto the disc surface. Other storage technologies mentioned include flash memory, which provides faster storage than CDs/DVDs, and floppy disks, which were magnetic and used in power plants and air traffic control despite being outdated. Currently, most storage functions are integrated into single smart devices rather than separate components. The module provides an overview of how storage technologies have evolved and contributed to advances in computing.

Essay Module 3 Technical English

Storage devices
In that module we can see various technical details,
such as: correct use of different devices, font variations
and their specific function, learning about the different
types of magnetic drives and disks, technical
vocabularies associated with the device, many
currently uncommon by the way of time and another
still in force....

This module is focused on what hard drives are, from

external and internal drives, better known as portable
drives, in the past the drives were limited to Mgb and
Gb, but currently they reach the capacity of what we
know as a tera, set of Gb,

It also tells us about its correct use and care to install or

leave in vulnerable places, all this is the root of optical
discs, eg: An optical disc is an optical data storage
medium, which consists of a circular disc in the which
the information is encoded, saved and stored by
making microscopic grooves with a laser on one of the
flat faces that compose it.
Storage devices

Over time we also saw what is known as memories, with the

ability to store data, but with more capacity than those of a CD,
DVD or any other; The main function of computer memory is to
store all data that enters the system. All functions of computer
memory are related to data storage, such as RAM, ROM, hard
drive, and flash memory. What is flash memory? Flash storage is
a data storage technology based on high-speed memory that is
electrically programmed. The speed of flash storage is what gave
it its name: it writes data and performs random I/O at the speed
of flash.

There is also a brief description of the floppy disk and the use that
was given to it, the floppy disk or flexible disk was a magnetic
data storage medium, formed by a thin circular sheet of
magnetizable and flexible material, enclosed in a plastic cover
Where is the floppy used?

More often than you think, floppy disks are used by very sensitive
and important facilities such as power plants or air traffic control
systems.
Storage devices

There is also a brief description about a digital voice

recorder of the Olympus ws-320m family which in turn
brought an internal flash memory among other capabilities

Currently, with the growth of technology, all these

equipments are already in one, without the need to buy
them separately, although there are still people who
choose them separately for a specific use.

Module 3 tells us about these and other equipment that

contributed a lot to the growth of technology, some are still
useful, only with some adapted improvements, but in
short, each smart device uses a computer which brings all
these devices with it, only with a more up-to-date
improvement...
