INTRUDUCTION –

The computer has brought revolution in every sphere of human life. Whether it is business,
education field, governance, medical science etc. The computer has reduced the human work load,
business are going global and every thing is available at the click of mouse. The concept of e-
shopping has been introduced and we can buy the products online and make payments through
credit or debit cards.As stated above the general stores presently uses manual bills and hand written
record to maintains their product list, customer list, and keep the invoice, there is lot of duplicate
work, and chance of mistake. When the product prices are changed they need to update each and
every hand written record.There is no security; any body can access any report and sensitive data,
also there are no reports to find out the sales volume, stock list, and summary report. This Billing
system is used to overcome the entire problem which the client is facing currently, and making
complete atomization of manual billing system. Billing System Using Python can be very useful
within a business environment. Instead of doing manual work for making up a bills, which gets tiring
and time consuming, you can generate a bill including tax and service charges in just few clicks.
When making up a bill manually it may contain some human errors like adding wrong items into the
bill or summing up their total also may end up wrong, it also sometimes results into a Bad
Impression towards the Customer. Ideally, user should be able to generate bill without any mistakes
and quickly, enabling them to fasten or improve their process. To overcome this problem, we have
come up with this project, that is, Billing System Using Python. The Billing System Using Python is
very useful to small business or restaurant or cafe or food truck owners. This helps the owner to
fasten the process which is bug free and easy to use. It also has a calculator to ease the use of the
user. This project firstly has the menu and then adds up the selected items by customer and sums up
the total of all items adds tax and service charges and

displays total.

NEEDS OF THE SYSTEM-

• Instead of making bills manually or to sum up the total manually, it is very much time
consuming and also may have some human errors like adding up the wrong total or adding
wrong items into the bill.

• When making a hand written bill the owner and customer both have to repeatedly check
the total, items added, etc.
 • Billing system is very complex starting from network elements that generate usage to the
billing system to usage collection, mediation, rating, and invoicing.

• If User has no account, then he signs up for a new account, else he signs in. Then the user
asks to conduct an order with the selected service.

company site and views company services, and he decides to order one of the available services. If
he has no account, then he signs up for a new account, else he signs in. Then the user asks to
conduct an order with the selected service. The service may be prepaid where he has to pay to have
credits to use the service, or it may be postpaid, where he has to pay if the service has installation or
set fees, and later on he will pay for his usage of each billing cycle.The billing system should provide
service to the user, collect user usage records, and generate invoices of each expired credit or due
credit, each billing cycle depends on the billing type, collect payments and adjust customers’
balances.Service is the entity offered by the company and targeted to the customers. Each service is
defined by an engineering employee as a service catalog which includes service type, name, billing
policy, and its default rating profile. After service ordering by the customer, it takes a unique
attached with the account of the customer, provided by the provisioning system to the customer at
a certain date.Billing systems help in automating the time-consuming process like invoice
generation, products tracking, other accounting documentation etc. Moreover such software
automatically calculate and apply tax on the taxable products so that you need not worry about the
tax at every time of billing

PROBLEM IDENFICTION-

The industry is enlarging rapidly and the owners are keen to improve every section of their business.
Though much attention is paid to digitalizing management and the menu, but not many business
owners realize the importance of applying digital billing software. The customers' experience
includes the billing and payment experiences too. Billing software provides some exclusive features
that ease up the services. It upgrades the billing process and uplift the customers' experience. It
enables customers to pay bills more easily. The software can generate detailed bills that eliminate
the need to calculate bills separately when the guests wish to know total GST amount. Apart from
billing, the software enables you to organize a number of processes at the restaurant. It makes your
system more effective and helps you provide faster and easy services to the customers. So many
times, customers leave unhappy due to improper billing. When the crowd is vast, it might take you
some time to generate manual bills that may leave your customers unsatisfied. This is where the

to make quick payments.

come up with this helpful project named Billing System Using Python. We all love going to cafes or
restaurants but when it takes time for them to make a bill or if they Make wrong bill then it’s time
consuming. So, to avoid all such chaos our project will help in All possible terms.
