Statement of Purpose: Introduction and Family Background
Statement of Purpose: Introduction and Family Background
I was born on 14th August, 2002 to Mr. Dipak Prasad Chaulagain and Mrs. Ranjana
Chaulagain. I am permanent resident of Hatiya, Makwanpur, Nepal. My family has
always been supportive to me in every step of my life. I have keen interest on
theoretical and practical knowledge in agriculture industry. I also aspire to learn
more and more about emerging trends of agricultural industry that will play crucial
role in leading my future to the peak of success. I am overwhelmed and will be
grateful to you to receive the opportunity to study in the UK and become part of
University of Greenwich family.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Education is my first priority and I have always had a good academic record in all
level since my School where I studied for 10 years. From this school I completed my
Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in 2018 A. D. securing 3.05 GPA. I pursued
Diploma in Agriculture equivalent to higher secondary studies from a renowned
college named Janpriya Secondary School, Chisapani, Makwanpur, Nepal and
completed the course with 74.39% in 2022 A.D.

It is true that there are lots of colleges and universities which offer a lot of courses as
per the students' interests. Like the students from science can choose different fields
of either engineering or medicine or IT sector. The first thing that distracted me to
study here was the traditional education system which is the same old system. The
Government of Nepal focuses on increasing the number of universities and colleges
but focuses less on quality and improvement. Second, the college education system
has failed to meet the demand of the current and future market. Also, as the course
taught here do not provide the right skills and are mostly focused on theoretical
knowledge, there is lack of skilled manpower in the related field. Third, I want to
acquire a high paying job or run a big hotel and hospitality business in Nepal. Most of
the people of my generation have this goal but the companies here prefer skills more
than the degree. Though, tuition fees in Nepal are inexpensive in comparison to
UK, but I feel the quality of education matters more than anything else. By studying
here in Nepal, I may achieve a degree but I doubt of gaining an international
recognition and I will be far from holding international exposure. After careful
consideration, it has become clear to me that developing a career in the Business
and Management sector requires advanced training and knowledge in the related
subjects. Therefore, I chose the UK over Nepal.
In today’s competitive world, everyone wants best in their life which leads to their
better future. So, choosing a great institution is like the foundation for better life. As
per my research, I came to know that London South Bank University is one of the
right institutes to study quality education programs that offers unique and
potentially transformative experience. It accepts the international students
wholeheartedly even without IELTS, TOEFL or PTE score. London South Bank
University is also designed with varieties of courses that are practical and applicable
in real time scenario. And I am also looking forward to experience a quality and a
healthy environment to continue my higher education which will surely guide and
support me throughout my stay over there.
