Open: Open a job file. If the opened file is a csv file for example x.csv, then the data

of x.csv will be written into a x.t4a file, so next time you just need open the x.t4a file

to get the data of x.csv file.

Merge storage files: Merge several .t4a files to one .svd file or merge several .csv files

to one .t4a file.

COM1: COM PORT in computer.

E1,E2,E3: Ethernet ports indicators.

Ports for Real time: get real time data via the selected ports.

SERVAview for Cementing

Download data: used to download stored data from storage module.

Job information: a window used to input information for the current job.

Parameters Setting: select units, colors and so on for all parameters

Real Time: enter the real time data and curves window.

Curve Report: to generate a curve report for current job file.

Data Report: to generate a data report for current job file.

The States of ports :

Red: the port can’t be opened.

Green: the port is opened.

Yellow: data flows through the port.

Blue: the data is tested and identified.

Purple: is writing the stored data into the current job file.

Operation:

1. Before run servaview for cementing program, please set the computer IP address as

10.0.1.5 , the subnet mask as 255.255.0.0 .

2. First ‘new’or ‘Open’ a job filt。

3. If want to data real time data, please click ‘Port for real time’button, and then

click ‘real time’button.

4. Before click ‘Real time’button, the selected ports indicators(E1,E2,E3) should be

green color

6
SERVAview for Cementing

5. The Ports for real-time window is like chart2, in the window, check the ports you

need, select the SLC version of the trailer control software. Input the IP address of the

trailer controller. If several trailer controller will be connected into a local area

network, the controller IP addresses should be different. In chart2 window, click the

‘Default IP Setting’button, the IP address textbox can show the IP address of the

selected SLC version when the trailer delivery.

6. When you want to download data files from storage, the download data window

is like chart3. First in chart1 window click ‘new’button to create a new job file, then

click ‘Download Data’button , and then in chart3 window check ‘1#Ethernet port,

input IP address or click ‘Default IP Setting’to get IP address, click ‘OK’, next

there will show a file list, select files to download. The downloaded files will be saved

in the data folder of the servaview for cementing installed directory. Next time you

can click ‘Open’ button to open the stored files to generate curves and data report,

the stored files extension is ‘.T4A’

7. Merge storage files: When you merge several .csv files to one .t4a file ,then

the .t4a file will use one of the .csv files names, next time you just need to open

the .t4a file to get the several .csv files data. When you merge several .t4a files to

one .svd file, then the .svd file will use one of the .t4a files names, with prefix ‘j’, for

example, if the several .t4a files are a.t4a, b.t4a and c.t4a, after merging, the one .svd

7

file will be ja.svd or jb.svd or jc.svd, next time you just need open the ja.svd(or jb.svd

or jc.svd) file, then you will get the several .t4a files data.

8. WIT Transmission: after the selected real time ports indicators(COM or/and E1

or/and E2 or/and E3)turn blue, then click the ‘WITS Transmission’ button, in the

window, you can input a port number and select parameters which will be sent, after

that , check the box which text is ‘send’, then the parameter will be sent to the

client.

Operations:

1. After entering a Real-Time Screen from the Main Screen and before clicking

the “Start Recording”, you should first select the curve to be shown in the top

section of a chart, click the right button of the mouse in the chart area of the Chart

to the Chart 15). After modifying the curve value, the program will automatically

generate a backup data file to save the modified job data. This data file will have a

suffix “-c” added to the currently-opened data file. For example, if the current file is

xxx.svd, the modified job file that is saved will be xxx-c.svd, if the current file is xxx.t4a,

the modified job file that is saved will be xxx-c.t4a. The file storage directory is in the

Parameters Setting Window

Menus functions:

Calculated parameters: the custom parameter name

Expression: expression used the acquired parameter value as variables, the format like

as ch1+ch1,ch3*ch4. ch1:density, ch2: cement val, ch3:rate-1, ch4: rate-2,

Unit: the unit should accord with the expression.

Conversion expression: the expression when the parameters value converted from

original unit to current unit, X means the parameters value scaled in the original unit.

User input unit: when the unit can’ the get from the supplied units, then customer

can input the unit in the ‘user input unit’ textbox as the parameters current unit, at

this time, you should input the right conversion express in the conversion expression

31
SERVAview for Cementing

textbox with x , x means the parameter value scaled in the original unit. for example,

for density, the original unit is PPG, if the current unit is g/cc, then the conversion

expression should be x*0.11982643.

Averaging Number: the number is bigger, the curve will be more smooth.

Job marker design: for each job marker number, customer can change the job marker

description or use the default description.

Factor for adjusting slurry total displacement: the factor is used to calibrate a new

value for the displacement stage slurry total parameter.

Job marker for starting displacement: In the job marker design page, there is a job

marker the according description is ‘start displacement’, please input this job

marker number.

Slurry total channel: tell which parameter is slurry total.

Data Report Window

Data in data report can be output to PDF file or EXCEL file.

EXCEL Report Window

(Chart 1)

33
SERVAview for Cementing

(Chart2)

In the EXCEL Report Setting window(chart1), you can select which parameters will be

shown in the excel report, and in order to calculate some values for the pumping

report(chart2) of the excel report, you must indicate density, rate, slurry

total ,pressure1, pressure2 parameters, the rate parameter should be a proper

parameter, for example, when the program just acquire rate1 and rate2 values, in the

pumping report the rate parameter should be a parameter whose value is the sum of

rate1 and rate2, so you can create a new parameter named ‘total rate’(please refer

to parameters setting chapter)and then indicate the total rate as the rate parameter

for the pumping report calculation.

When you generate a BMP or EMF file in the curve report, then the EXCEL file will

34
SERVAview for Cementing

insert a EMF file or BMP file into a sheet(chart2). So before get a EXCEL file, you

should first enter the curve report window to get a EMF file or BMP file, or else the

EXCEL file will not show the graphs of the curves. if you need more than one graph

displaying the EXCEL file, you have to insert other graphs into the EXCEL file manually.
