PURCOM - Module 3

Global communication has both advantages and disadvantages in the context of globalization: - It makes the world smaller by allowing easy long-distance communication between family and increased access to international news, but it also changes how people view their identity and cultural values as global influences spread. - Increased business opportunities arise from better international communication, but globalization can also create economic and social problems when companies market unacceptable products across borders. - Cultural education improves as people can directly learn about other cultures through technology, but new communication technologies can also make time and space seem to disappear, which some view as a negative effect of a globalized world.
