Metaphor and Simile - Haiku

The document discusses different types of figurative language - metaphors and similes. A metaphor directly compares two things without using "like" or "as", while a simile uses "like" or "as" to compare two things. Several examples are provided. Readers are then given exercises to practice writing their own metaphors and similes to describe various subjects from a provided list. Image poems are also presented, with questions to analyze whether they use metaphor/simile and their syllable structure.
