what we had last meeting, what was our

Ma’am we’ve discussed comparison and
contrast.

Alright, what are we looking for when we

are comparing and contrasting?
.The similarities and differences
What are we pointing out if we are
comparing two ideas or things?
We are pointing out their similarities.

Okay that’s correct. How about when we

are contrasting? We are focusing on the differences of the
two ideas rather than its similarities.

Alright, very good! We’ve also discussed

some keywords used for comparing and
contrasting, okay now please give
examples of keywords for comparison.
also, as well as, both, comparatively, in
the same way, in addition, just as, like,
most important, similarly, the same as,
too
How about key words used for
contrasting?

unless, regardless, although, besides,

but, compared with, conversely, differ,

different places. want to go.
But, if we go back to the time when
COVID 19 was still prevalent or
dangerous, are we allowed to go outside?

I think that was almost 2years ago when

we all got quarantined. In those times
what did you feel when you were locked
down at home?

Ma’am I feel sad and bored because I

cannot go outside to visit my friends or to
hangout somewhere.
Okay, of course you will be lonely and
bored at home because instead of
enjoying the day with your friends you are
just inside your houses doing nothing.

Did you get upset with that kind of

situation? Or do you just think positively?

What are the things you do inside your

house so that your day will still be
productive? I think positively ma’am that we are
staying at home for our safety

Ma’am during the pandemic I became

That’s a good mindset, instead of getting interested in planting, as well as drawing,
we should think positively and think of I also read books
ways to overcome these challenges.

Okay, I have another set of pictures,

analyze the picture and try to compare
the two situations shown in the pictures.

The two pictures are about education or

learning, I believe that you both
experience those situations, what do you
prefer between the two? Yes______.

Ma’am I prefer the way of learning before

the pandemic because we can learn
much better when we can see or hear our
teachers personally, and also physical
classes are more enjoyable because we
are with our classmates and friends unlike

you experience back when COVID is
widespread in our country?
Ma’am financial problems, because most
of our parents got fired or lost their job
Alright, that’s really true, many Filipinos because of the pandemic.
experience shortage and poverty and
most of us get unemployed because
many companies shut down and go
bankrupt because of the pandemic.

a. Reading Proper

Other problems or challenges? If none,

we will now proceed in reading an article.
And we are going to read and analyze the
article by group. So you are going to sit
with your groupmates, then I will give you
a copy of the article, afterwards I am
going to give you parts from the article
that you will need to analyze, you will
going to present it in class.

I have here some guide questions that will

help you analyze the article. So, make
sure that in your explanation you are
going to answer this questions.

Guide questions:

1. What is the writer trying to say?

2. How does the experience of the

writer differ from your experience?

- Do you have the same experience

as the writer of the article?

You can share your personal

experiences.

3. What are your realizations after

reading the article?

how will you contribute to society?
