To begin this project in week 1 I was doing my research. At first, I had to decide what I was going to do. As I knew I wanted
to do a greeting card or something similar I started looking at different types of greeting cards. After making a list of greeting
1 cards I decided to make a wedding stationery set for my final work. Then I looked at what 4 artefacts could contain in my set.
Also, I researched already existing wedding stationaries and saved some samples into my computer.
I decided to start with creating a wedding invitation first. Then I looked at the most popular wedding invitation fonts and
colours. After looking at different styles of invitations that I liked and saved on my computer I decided that I wanted some gold
2 details and some floral pictures in it. To get floral elements I made a few watercolour drawings on paper and scanned it to the
computer. By using Adobe Photoshop, I made quick samples of what my wedding design could look like. I was happy with the
sample, so I started my project.
I decided that my wedding invitation will be standard size which is 5x7in., portrait orientated. Also, I made it as a card that you
could open. In Adobe Illustrator I created 3 golden squares which I turned in different angles and stuck together to create a
3 frame. Then I saved the frame and opened it in Adobe Photoshop. In photoshop I opened the flowers that I drew and changed
their background to transparent. Then I stick those flowers on my created golden frame. Chose the font and create the
invitation with venue information, date, and the time of the wedding.
When I created an invitation, I decided to change the background from plain white paper into patterned paper. I took a
picture of patterned paper that I had and used it as my background. Also, I decided to try to create the pattern and use it as
4 a background, but I did not like it. After I finished the invitation, I was not happy with the results and decided to make some
changes. First, I change the golden frame from 3 squares to 3 circles. Also, I chose another flower picture that I stick on the
side of the circles. In the middle of the circle, I wrote the wedding couple names. I was happy with this frame so I decided that
it will be like the mane logo for all of 4 artefacts.
After I had my first artefact done, I had to decide what other 3 artefacts will be. For my second item in the stationery, I decided
to create a wedding menu. First, I chose the same patterned paper that I have used for wedding invitations. Also, on the top
of the page I included my logo that I made previously; accept instead of the couple names I wrote menu in the middle. At the
5 bottom of this paper, I wrote the menu with three meals and two choices in each. The menu was separated with two silver
lines. The menu will be one sided 5x7 in, portrait orientated sheet that will be inside of the wedding invitation. My 3rd artefact
- RSVP card which is 7x5 in and is landscape orientated. On this work I am only use flower pattern on the top of the sheet. The
bottom of the card will be divided into sections. On the right of the card, it will be 2 square boxes that guests could select their
attendance. On the left of the card will be boxes to mark for two guests and they choices from the menu.
In the last two weeks I created the last artefact which was two envelopes. One to send the invitation to the guests and another
the envelope for the guest to respond they answer. The first envelope had only the flower on the bottom, the sender’s address
6 in the left corner and the delivery address in the middle. The return envelope had a golden circle frame with the flower on the
side of the circle and the address and names of the receiver in the middle. Also, on both envelopes I created a rectangle box
frame for the stamp. Both envelopes were 5x7 in size. After I finished all my wedding stationery set, I had to double check that
fonts are matching in every artefact.
RGB stands for “Red Green Blue.” By mixing red, green and blue and varying their intensity the light source within a device creates
any colour you need. All colours begin as black darkness
and then red, green and blue light is added on top of each other to brighten it and create the perfect pigment. When red, green
and blue light is mixed together equaly, you are getting white colour. RGB is used if the end destination of your design project is a
digital screen.
CMYK
CMYK is an acronym for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. CMYK refers to the 4 primary colors of pigment used in 4 Color Pro-
cess Printing. CMYK is opposite to RGB it means that All colours start as white, and each layer of ink reduces the initial brightness
to create the preferred colour. When all colours are mixed together, they create pure black. CMYK is used when
project design will be physically printed, then you get more acurate results.
Indexed Greyscale
Grayscale - image have only shades of gray. This mode takes less space on the hard drive in some formats, but is not
recommended for general use as reading it is not supported by many applications. These shades of grey is in-between white and
and black. This is the mode usually used when file size is of concern, or when you are working with images with few colours.
1-Bit
A 1-bit image contains just two tones, 0 Black and 255 White. The intensity of each pixel can be specified by one binary digit, that
is one bit. This is the smallest possible information that can be held for each pixel. The pixels with a 0 are refereed to as black, pix-
els with a 1 are refereed to as white. Converting an image to Bitmap mode reduces the image to two
colours. 1- Bit mode is used for images that only require a black and white image and have a very small file size.

Continuous Tone
It is a printing process that produces photographic-like output. In a continuous tone image, pixel patterns are either not visible or
are barely visible under a magnifying glass. Various dye sublimation and laser technologies can provide up to 256 intensities of
colour and even blend the inks.
Examples of continuous-tone images include photographic prints,
negatives, and transparencies
It is an image comprised of discrete dots rather than continuous tones. When viewed from a distance, the dots blur together, and
creates the illusion of continuous shapes. When printing this mode it uses less ink. Most photographs, paintings, or similar pictorial
works reproduced in books,
magazines and newspapers are printed as halftones.
Licensed Software
A software license is a document that provides legally binding guidelines for the use and distribution of software. The license also
defines the
responsibilities of the parties entering into the license agreement and may impose restrictions on how the software can be used.
Copyright

• Original literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works
• Sound recordings, films, broadcasts, cable programmes

Quotations
if you want to let a potential customer know the cost of the goods or services you can provide, you will need to deliver a quotation.
It commits you to a certain price. Always quote in writing to avoid confusion.

1.18 Terms
Legally Binding Contracts
Contract is a promise or agreement enforced or recognised by law. The contract is made up of five basic elements which are
necessary in order for there to be a legally enforceable contract. There must be agreement between the parties, consideration
(something of value), intention to create legal relations.
Third Party material is non-textual in nature - e.g., figures, tables, graphs, photographs, simulations, music or audio/video clips. It is
extremely important that you identify the copyright holder and secure permission to use each and every piece of third party con-
tent in your paper or presentation that you, yourself, did not create.
Packaging Regulations
It is legally mandated to have a code of conduct. A code has value as both an internal guideline and an external statement of
corporate values and commitments. A code is a central guide and reference for employees to support day-to-day decision making.
A code encourages discussions of ethics and compliance, empowering employees tohandle ethical dilemmas they encounter in
everyday work.
