Instructions:

1. Conduct a survey for 2 (1 male and 1 female) household members or relatives. (at least 18 years
old)

2. For the scoring of the responses

ROSENBERG SELF-ESTEEM SCALE

a) For items 1,3, 4, 7, 10 give “Strongly Disagree” 1 point, “Disagree” 2 points, “Agree” 3
points, and “Strongly Agree” 4 points.

For items 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 are reverse scored. Give “Strongly Disagree” 4 points, “Disagree” 3
points, “Agree” 2 points, and “Strongly Agree” 1 point.

b) Obtain the total score of each member in the 10- item Self-Esteem Scale.

c) Based on the total score of the member their level of self-esteem is:
LOW if the total score ranges from 10-19
AVERAGE if the total score ranges from 20-29
HIGH if the total score ranges from 30-40

SELF-EFFICACY SCALE

a) Give “Exactly True” 4 points, “Moderately True” 3 points, “Hardly True” 2 points, and
“Not at all True” 1 point.

b) Obtain the total score of each member in the 10- item Self-Efficacy Scale.

c) Based on the total score of the member their level of self-efficacy is:
LOW if the total score ranges from 10-19
AVERAGE if the total score ranges from 20-29
HIGH if the total score ranges from 30-40

PROCEEDING TO THIS PART)

a) Tally the responses of your respondents.


b) Report the frequencies for gender and civil status.
c) Report the mean and standard deviation for self-esteem and self-efficacy.
d) Report the mean and standard deviation for self-esteem and self-efficacy separately for
male and female. Which group has a higher mean on each of the two variables.
e) Create a bar chart for categorical variables.
f) Create histogram for continuous variables.
