submit the assignment I gave?
All: Yes sir, we received the PDF file

all of you submitted your assignment. That
shows that all of you are good and obedient
student.

Okay, now that all of you has submitted your

assignment let’s check it. I’ll call a name and
give me at least (3) basic command in
AutoCAD.

Sprite recite at least (3) basic command in

for Fillet.
Okay, very good…

How about you Kroto? Give me at least (1)

C for Circle.

Okay, all of your answer is correct; I hope that

all of you have familiarized the basic
commands in AutoCAD.

Review

Now, I will conduct a short review. I will divide

you into 5 groups and will be in a breakout The students is now discussing with

Motivational

Have you all shared your ideas? Now, I will

present a video making an orthographic All: Yes sir…

AutoCAD and observe how it was used in the
drawing.

Introduction to topic

So, our subject matter for today is about

familiarizing the basic commands in AutoCAD
and exploring the AutoCAD environment.

For today’s lesson, we will tackle about the

basic commands and familiarizing the The students listened about the
working environment of AutoCAD. In this discussion and presentation that the

according to the software provider
 Explore CAD working environment
 Demonstrate CAD features as per job
requirement

The students shared their ideas and

insights regarding to the specific topics
that has been discussed.

Activity

Okay, today for your activity I will present an

orthographic view in the screen. You must be
able to analyze and replicate the exact
drawing I will show you. Feel free to ask
questions if you are quite confused to some
commands. But, limit your questions because
you must analyze and familiarize the basic
commands and working environment in
AutoCAD. I will give you 15 minutes to finish
your activity, you may start now.

The students started to draw the object

projected in the screen by the teacher.

(20 minutes has passed)

Analysis

Okay, time is up let me see how you

performed in this activity. So, I will call
someone to explain the steps on how to draw
the orthographic view that I displayed on the
screen.

Karl: First, I started drawing the top

continued to create it to project the right
side view. Lastly, I finished the drawing
of the right side view with the line
projection from the front view and
trimmed unnecessary lines to clean the
drawing.

Everyone clapped their hands for Karl.

Okay very well explained. Let’s give a hand
for Karl.

Abstraction

Okay, now, may I ask someone on how

useful it is to familiarize the basic commands

IV. Evaluation

Now, for the evaluation, I will send a link for

you to identify what command and UI are
there in AutoCAD.

to use in your drawing. Students started answering the link that
has been given to them.
2. A command to prompt the line
drawing.

3. A key to automatically project the lines

in orthographic manner.

4. The cursor to select drawings and

objects.

5. Located in the lower left area that

shows the X, Y and Z axis.
6. A command to make smooth or curved
edges in lines.

7. A command to erase specific lines in a

drawing.

commands you recently used.
