Proposed CMS IRA Organizational Chart

This document proposes establishing a new Medicare Drug Rebate and Negotiations Group with 95 vacant FTE positions. The group would consist of 7 divisions focused on contract support, manufacturer compliance and oversight, manufacturer data and rebate operations, data assessment and analytics, rebate agreements and drug price negotiations, and policy. Each division would have a director and deputy director, as well as staff in areas like health insurance specialists, economists, pharmacists, and IT specialists. The overall goal is to establish a new group within Medicare to handle drug rebates and negotiations.
