1. Drill

Give the Least Common Denominator (LCD) in each set of fractions:

Mechanics:

a. Post the expected answer.

b. Divide yourselves into 2 groups. Each group will have 5 members.

c. Your teacher flash a set of numbers and you will give the correct
answer.
d. The first 3 pupils from each group give the name of the flower that
corresponds to the correct fraction and which maybe your favorite flower.
e. The next set of pupils from each group give the correct fraction until
everyone has participated.

Problem # 1

The selected Grade IV-VI pupils are planning to practice basketball in


preparation for the District Athletic Meet. Last Saturday, the boys practiced basketball
for 3 hours in the morning and 2 ½ hours in the afternoon. How many hours did the
boys practice basketball?

Our lesson for today is about adding whole numbers and mixed forms.

soap and Junelo and Mother used 2 bars of soap. How many bars of soap used in
washing clothes?
