Exercise 1: Enter and Edit Spreadsheet Data (1)

1. Open a new spreadsheet.

2. Enter the label (title) Music Festivals and ensure that it is left aligned.

3. Enter the following eight column headings in bold:


• Venue
• Venue Cost
• Artist Cost
• Total Cost
• Ticket Price
• Venue Capacity
• Maximum Income
• Profit/Loss

4. In the Venue column, enter the following data and left-align the text.
• Lagos
• Bangkok
• Dubai
• London
• Paris
• Barcelona

5. The Paris venue is no longer available but Milan has been selected as a replacement. The
cost of the venue at Milan is 10000.00 but the other costs remain the same.
6. Edit thespreadsheet with these changes.
7. The Barcelona venue has been cancelled. Delete the relevant information from the
spreadsheet and do not leave a blank row.
8. Add a new column between Artist Cost and Total Cost called Admin Cost.
9.In the Admin Cost column enter the following data:
• Lagos 5000.00
• Bangkok 6000.00
• Dubai 6500.00
• London 4000.00
• Milan 4000.00
10. Use a formula to calculate the total cost for each venue
