Prayers of the Faithful

Priest: The Lord is inviting us to have the humility to acknowledge our


own sinfulness and need for God's grace. With humble and contrite
hearts, let us offer our petitions before our merciful Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer


1.That Pope Francis, bishops, priests, and deacons will continue to show
us how to care for the poor and the needy, for refugees and the lonely,
for the persecuted and victims of war, so that God’s grace will calm
every fear, let us pray to the Lord.
2. That public authorities may be meek in spirit so that they can discern
the Holy Spirit guiding them in all their decisions, let us pray to the
Lord.
3.That those who are arrogant in their faith may come to that humility of
heart in which they recognize their need for God’s mercy, let us pray to
the Lord
4. That the generous lives of those who preach that the kingdom of God
is at hand will invite our young people to consider a vocation to the
priesthood or the consecrated life, let us pray to the Lord.
5. That the Lord may heal and bind up the wounds of those who seek
Him out in need, let us pray to the Lord.
6. That the souls of all the faithful departed may, through the mercy of
God, rest in eternal peace, let us pray to the Lord.

Priest: Father, we trust in your mercy which you bestow on us. May we
come to you in humility and repentance, ready to encounter you in love.
Through Christ our Lord.
